I think we need to change our outlook on here.

If Levy hires a manager that ends up being a huge disaster, then really he's used up his last chance to get things right.

So from that perspective he'll only have a remaining 37 last chances to get thing's right and we'll be ever closer to the finish line.

Sherwood was a ‘proper’ manager. Huge experience- captained a Premier League winning team as well. So a huge difference between him & Mason

I don’t want to keep slagging Mason off because it’s not his fault but please, the notion he should ever be given the job permanently is nonsense
Famously didn’t have the top level coaching qualifications though. Unlike Mason.

There is a massive underlying thing that is the reason for Gerrards decline and he is currently manager of Rangers.

I'm fully in the Nagelsmann or busy camp as it's mental anyone else is even being considered whilst he is out of work but Gerrard shouldn't be used as a measuring stick for Postecoglu.

Yeah don't get me wrong. I'm more thinking aloud than being pro/against any manager. I'd love a punt on Ange to be honest. When Potter went into Brighton everyone was saying "Why have Brighton hired a farmer for their manager?", when Poch went to Southampton everyone was like "Who?". I guess I'm just mulling over the pros and cons of picking managers either based on their history or on their most recent season.

If we are moving to a data led model then surely Potter or Frank should be top of the list as they have proved to work well with that.

George Bannister has basically laughed it off and said not true
ummmm, who is George Bannister? I had a brief look and there is someone who looks they are cosplaying flight simulator. Other than that, is there someone I am missing whose opinion on football or our club is worth a damn?

He’s a guy that ‘allegedly’ has links to the club

Club using social media and their PR to test the waters with managers names. Vote against it. They are deliberately gauging fans reactions.,
Just to play devils advocate here and I understand this smacks of a board who as usual have no plan to follow but surely gauging fan reactions to a point is a good thing especially given that in seasons gone by they've clearly not thought about fan reactions until the last minute and there is uproar with Gattuso for example.

Some cynics will say our fans are clueless but I think the majority of our fans maybe a good 80-90% just want to see a manager who is more aligned with our clubs DNA and attractive attacking footballing philosophy, is a fairly likeable character and one who can build a new project for us.

So Naglesman ticks that box, Postegoclou ticks that box, go and get one of those (not that I think for one minute they will).

Like most top modern teams, Celtic look to hold majority of possession ~ averaging 74% possession in the Scottish Premiership. In comparison, Man City & Arsenal average around 60% in the Premier League.

In 2019, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester
City defeated Ange Postecoglou’s Yokohama F Marinos 3-1. After the game, Guardiola gave high praise to Postecoglou:

"𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘬𝘰𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺. 𝘉𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘬𝘰𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘴. 𝘠𝘰𝘬𝘰𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴. 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴."

Not saying that Pep does not know his stuff. But he has also been very complimentary towards Potter.

El Jefe will likely end up having to overpay for the 4th or 5th choice to avoid overpaying for one of the "frontrunners"

Genius level +9000
Happens every single time, its why we ended up with N'Jie and Sissoko instead of Grealish and Mane/Winjaldium.

Its why we ended up with Nuno in the summer of 2021.

Literally everyone can see the wood from the trees now, the media, the players, the managers, the coaches, the DofF's, the fans, I'm just astonished that given that is the case our fans aren't kicking up more of a fuss, we have just been ground down.
