I don't feel any excitement or passion for the club until Levy is gone. The general feeling is pure apathy towards everything Tottenham related.

I genuinely feel sorry for the next manager; they will be in a difficult position as Levy is still there. The fans won't trust we are going in any direction if Levy calls the shots.

Even if we got the dream team of JN and a DOF approved by JN, I still wouldn't care as Levy is there, and I'll expect everything to change within 18 months.

It is the story of Tottenham in the last 20 years. 🤦‍♂️

If the new structure means the DoF is the focal point and drives the vision, culture and philosophy rather than the coach then this whole process makes some sense because not many established coaches will work like that but it is what’s best long term. Problem is, we don’t have a DoF so it’s just conjecture that it’s their motivation. If we established a clear philosophy and culture, you could do what Brighton or Barca or Dortmund or Leipzig do and not live and die by their coach. The coach is the extension of the system rather than the center of it. If that’s what we’re doing then it makes sense that we don’t want to pay £15m for a manager.

Whoever it ends up being I will still give them a chance up until the point I see zero progress or plan being implemented.

People who haven’t been paying attention to what Postecoglou has been doing are going to be so positively surprised if we appoint him.

I’m so confident of this.
In what way, I don't know much about him, and I don't subscribe to the "its a shit league" rhetoric pedalled about about some managers and where they come from.

I would wager 95% of people on here had never heard of Slot 6 months ago.

Apart from the age gap, there really isn’t much of a difference between Ange & Slot.

Yep people writing him off don't have a clue about him or his style of play or his achievements or his personality. His style of play is really close to pep, very high possession and quick ball movement, very attacking, give him the right players and time and he'd be loved by Spurs fans, he's a big bear figure like Martin Jol, strong but loveable.

I preferred Slot, he was the one but big Ange is about as close as we could find.

He's a very similar candidate to Slot in many ways.

I don't for a minute however think we will be able to get him though.

We will be going for the 'last girl on the dancefloor at 3am' again aka Nuno aka Glasner, Galtier, Rodgers, or another not good fit out of work manager.

Now cynically speaking we could say he just wanted a pay rise from Feyenord and nothing is better for that than "interest from Spurs", we've seen that story countless times. You'd have to wonder why he's been so proactive in pushing this forward if he didn't want the job.
The Trix Jinx. This was next level ITK, it's "going to be ITK" ... GTBITK.

Not saying that Pep does not know his stuff. But he has also been very complimentary towards Potter.
Why the hell wouldn’t you go and get Potter?

Am I missing something? I know I’m not as knowledgeable about football as our board lol but this whole saga is absolute nonsense AGAIN

Maybe they don’t want a project. Maybe they
Maybe they are a complete and utter laughing stock

Can’t believe the club could have made it any easier not to renew than the summer of 2021 but they’ve surpassed themselves again

I just don't understand the Ange hate. He's essentially the same candidate as Slot. I was firmly behind Slot and am also firmly behind Ange.
The only thing I’d say is that Celtic are kind of expected to win their league whereas not so much for Feyenoord.

Going by what Herc’s said we’ll be fucking lucky if it’s Ange. If he’s got half a brain he won’t go near us and ruin his reputation.

I’m really getting worried for how next season is going to look. Even if Kane stays, could see it being a similar situation to Eriksen’s last 6 months with us and right now Kane’s been the difference between us and being where the likes of Everton are this year.

Anyone who has heard any pressers with him are bound to know what he’s about. His players love him and work their socks off for him, it’s just cause he is in Scotland that people don’t rate him.

I love all of you disagreeing but with respect, we are being told we are being rejected left right and centre right now. So you tell me, what level are we at?!
I don't see us being rejected. It's more us rejecting any manager that wants to so things his way over Levys. Even the Slot news was followed by reports of him snubbing us. It's bullshit, we could have had him if we paid up. The issue isn't managers not wanting to join as such, plenty would join if they have some level of control. It's more down to us to agree to those terms. That's why it's so frustrating because there are top managers available and we could get 1 but Levy must do things his way as always. Even if he does agree it will be temporary and he will be back to doing his thing again.

This is fair, and I thought about this after I posted this.

However, for me, it's about HOW they won the league. It was nothing like Strachan, Lennon, or even Rodgers.

It was pep-esque positional play, a high press, and fluid attacking full of flair.

It was everything we're asking for.

I generally like to keep an open mind about Levy and don't subscribe to all of the tropes thrown at him in here but let's face it he's fucked this manager search like he has previously. The Nuno search was the worst, but Santini, Mourinho AVB have been some of the most obvious mistakes. He doesn't have a strategy, never has and unfortunately for an extremely intelligent and strategic man is so deep in the forest he can't see his own mistakes and change
Problem is that Intelligence and Common Sense are not the same thing. We know he has the first, and a lot of it. As far as the latter is concerned ........ hhhmmmmmm!
