Theate is an excellent player. Really good on the ball and deceptively quick. I’m liking the CB’s we’re being linked to so far

If we sign him, given the quality of our backups it could be trick or Theate at LCB next season.

I'll get my coat.

Really wish we could be pro active gor a change and sign players early. Quite a few teams dignings players already.
Yet more than likely Levy will leave it till towards the end of the window to save on wages meaning we could miss out on players like Ndicka and probably Maddison.
Good grief (Please say this in Charlie Brown’s voice)

it’s 11th June - the season’s last game was literally played yesterday. If you’re like this now, what are you going to be like in a month’s time?

So do you think it's ok not to sign players early so they can settle in and get used to a new system of play? I don't think what i said was being reactive at all.
Liverpool, Brighton, Villa etc all signing players early so why can't we ?

I was hoping Theate was on our watch list- just the type of player we should be going for imo. High ceiling but could come in and do well straight away as he's technically sound, looks robust and has great speed. I'd imagine the club have watched him a lot since they would have been at plenty of Rennes games keeping an eye on Rodon and Spence.

He's also good on my Football Manager save 👀

A return to buying young hungry players would be a good thing. But I think dragon is showing his age slightly when he assumes we could buy anyone for south of £15 million. That doesn’t get you anything these days.
He's holding the compass upside down

Your question is wrong to start with. It's "why won't we" not "why can't we" and the answer is Levy. TBH we get all chess pumped when we sign a good player for what we consider a low fee......."oh yes they got Levyed!" but the honest truth is we (the fans) been getting "Levyed" more than anyone else.
Levy will wait until the last minute, hoping the selling club will panic and lower the fee.
I never expect us to sign players before or even early in the window.

Where did I say that we shouldn’t sign players early?

Im commenting on your impatience and apparent frustration of our inability to make early signings on 11th June.

One or our apparent main targets was literally involved in the match yesterday.

Our new manager has only recently been confirmed, and we’ve still not got a DoF.

The transfer window officially opened on Friday.

And you’re complaining that we’ve not made any signings. In 2 days.

Interesting point you make about Levy waiting to save on wages.
I said exactly the same thing a couple of days ago in the "Ousting of Daniel Levy " thread and got piled on by the usual suspects.... a couple of whom seem to spend half their time on this forum trolling me!
Anyway, I agree with you absolutely.

Dude they're all on holiday, nobody is going to be doing any settling until preseason starts in July.

I watched 53 seconds of the first video I found and he didn't go to ground once, this is the most important signing in Spurs history.
