winger / forward does not necessarily need to play both flanks , you will see Porro further forward next season on either right midfield or in the front 3 on the right

we are looking at Harvey Barnes and olise at palace
Olise got a bad injury yesterday and is expected to be out for a few months. I know it doesn't mean he won't move clubs, but I think it'd be unlikely.

Olise would be wild.

Him and maddison, and kane pulls rank on freekicks 🙈

All a bit mixed that though isn’t it? We’ll use porro on rw but might buy a lw or a rw, I may be reading it wrong?

edit: I suppose it could mean we’re looking at buying for both wings?

Olise would cost a bomb and as mentioned above he just tore his hamstring (a grade 3 tear supposedly) so I think there’s next to no chance that happens.

After signing sessegnon in similar circumstances I can’t see us making the same mistake twice saying he’s never really recovered.

I like Olise but bit contradictory with D1 here if Porro is going to be utilised firther forward on the right with Deki then it makes pursuing Olise a tad redundant- certainly not a priority on the right flank

Yeah it really doesn’t make any sense within the context of the post.

Deki news earlier suggests we are not totally committed to him - at RW or elsewhere.

We do seem to be looking for additional wingers - and I expect that could be a heavy rotation position

If Ange is as decisive as is made out, there is no way he’s being half hearted about Kulusevski just because we managed to negotiate an appealing pay structure with Juve.

While I’d like to see a team with Maddison and deki as the 8’s with a dm in reality it seems more the stuff of computer games than a genuine functional midfield

If it really is a grade 3 tear that is a serious injury. I know tears don’t mean the same thing as they used to but even so that will take time to recover from. He could be out for a good while and who knows where he will be at when he gets back as you say.

The Porro news makes sense. Just have no idea how the coach would have already arrived at that conclusion without taking a single training session! Common sense, m'spose. Also great to hear we are looking at HG talent such as Barnes and Olise. Not gonna get into a debate of who is better, etc. Just that I like the approach and the types of players we're exploring. It's promising.

Also after mentioning £15-£20m gems it seems every player linked is like £30m+ so again not quite a consistent message coming through
I mean even if he wasn’t injured Olise would cost what? 70 odd mil at a guess, if not more, his contract runs until 26.

It's a hamstring with Olise, the commentator said he'd be out for the rest of the tournament but it must be a pretty bad one because his team mates were holding up his shirt during a goal celebration. Unless they just really really like him and are upset that he's going to miss a couple of games.

Edit - it's a grade 3 tear apparently, up to 3 months to recover.
