No.Does that not seem a plausible path?

I think he meant upping his current salary by 200k more.Aren't his wages already at least 200k?
I'm not sure that these twats care about whether something is true a great deal. Where will they print the denial from Daniel Levy? The back page of their Twitter feed? Football media acts with absolute impunity (like most media to be fair). It's already traveled around the world and nobody will see, care or remember what's true. It’s also a rather silly thing to make-up out of nothing - since it would be rather easy to deny. Lies don’t tend to be that specific.
You said "Why would the club issue a briefing that portrays the club ownership in a bad light?" yes? Well if you remember a couple of months ago they issued a briefing that portrayed themselves in a bad light, which I linked from multiple club mouthpieces. So discounting this because of that logic obviously doesn't work since they've already done it, so keep an open mind about it. I don't know if it's true but given how the club have already acted this summer it could be trueNo idea what point you’re trying to make here and how it relates to my earlier post.

Not that it matters, when kane could refuse to sign and just pocket the 50m for himself.
I doubt the club would be leaking this if they hadn’t already agreed a fee for him with someone. This little fairy tale is basically the club trying to stop Levy from getting the blame for selling our star player.
Apologies, I wasn't correcting you. I was clarifying it for the poster. Not only did I mean it, but I said it.
And market economics dictates that the more demand there is for the object, the higher the price. If five teams compete for Harry next season and HE gets to pick the destination, the he still gets the $50M.
This season he’s going to get sold to BM for $400K per week for five years. Because Spurs choose who can bid for him
OR, given my suggestion, he could make $400k per week here for one season and have 5 teams bidding for him next season.
I negotiate these size contracts for a living. This is a win/win for everyone unless Harry just doesn’t want to be at Spurs or Harry only wants to be at BM. Or unless there is an aspect of this that I simply don’t understand about the contracting of players.
Rather than being dismissive, I’m curious about what I’m missing. If I’m wrong, educate me. This is at least as interesting of a discussion as many in this thread.
Here is why I won't mind if he goes to Bayern - out of sight, out of mind. Can’t believe Bayern fans online have made me hate the idea of him going there almost as much as somewhere in the PL. Bunch of weirdos
I'm not just talking about this season though, I'm talking about every season stretching back for a good few years.
And I'm not a great fan of the whole net spend stuff because none of us know how transfers are structured, or for how long.
The example I tend to reach for is Forest buying about 30 players last year, or Arsenal spending every year for the last umpteen, or Villa spending left right and centre.
I'm not one for the whole accounting/net spend stuff because I don't really understand it but what I do understand is that most other clubs find the money to spend when and where they need it.
We don't but yet we've got one of the highest revenues in world football.
Can we really not afford to speculate to accumulate? Especially when it's European football and the possible future of Kane at risk?!
More proof, and referring to a few of the other posts above, ENIC’s tenure will only ever be about maximising the value of THFC, Not about filling the trophy cabinet.
We should just accept we are a very well run business, not a football club looking for daring for glory.
Think this intervention by Joe Lewis is wrong and frankly stupid. Why the fuck is u-turning 3 weeks before the start of the season? He’s known about this situation for a long time. We like a bunch of mugs.
