Ask yourself, if Kane is leaving......why would any decent CF come here?
We dont (and never have) pay the wages....
We dont win anything
We're not in Europe
There’s no point having a succession plan (Richarlison) if you’re not going to give it a shot. The replacement should be the next succession plan etc etc and the cycle continues.Yeah meeting obviously happening today where I think it's likely they will strike a deal for Kane. As has been mentioned before, they like to finalise the deal in person so speaks volumes they're both flying across for the meeting today.
Richarlison has impressed Ange in pre season and he feels he can bag plenty of goals for him so I would say the likelihood is we bring both VdV & Tapsoba in followed by an exciting young talent who can play across the front three.
100% if we get this right there could be some real benefits to our new look better all-round balanced side.Arsenal, Newcastle and Man Utd played with inferior center-forwards, last season and finished above us.
We need to stop relying on one player, regardless of who he is.
I cant winner this post enough!Arsenal, Newcastle and Man Utd played with inferior center-forwards, last season and finished above us.

This cannot be stated enough. So we'll be replacing Kane with players we should have been signing regardless of whether he stays or leaves, then. Excellent. Expected nothing less.
I don’t blame Kane for going, i’m just not that bothered that he is. As a fan I’m also less bothered about potentially missing out on €10-€15 million in add ons. Can’t understand this take for two reasons:
1. Kane has always said that he would be happy to stay here, as long as he felt the team were competitive. As others have said, it’s Levy’s fault that it’s come to this, not Kane’s.
2. The transfer will 100% be made up of add-ons based off of Bayern winning trophies, so would be a big financial knock to us if he was to win nothing.
I agree to an extent .Arsenal, Newcastle and Man Utd played with inferior center-forwards, last season and finished above us.

It depends: if we don't have the cash, we don't have the cash.So we'll be replacing Kane with players we should have been signing regardless of whether he stays or leaves, then. Excellent. Expected nothing less.
100%. Especially one player that:Arsenal, Newcastle and Man Utd played with inferior center-forwards, last season and finished above us.

By all means, a succession plan should be given a chance to work before being canned. If Richarlison was signed as Kane's successor, then the owners gave up on convincing Kane to stay long before now, so it would be extremely disappointing if that's the case (irrespective of how well Richarlison goes on to do). There’s no point having a succession plan (Richarlison) if you’re not going to give it a shot. The replacement should be the next succession plan etc etc and the cycle continues.
I’m quite happy with this approach - but my guess is Alex Scott will be the attacking buy (for lots of reasons) and that’s not succession planning
Except we are one of the most profitable sports teams in the world. We have the money. We're just choosing not to spend it, for whatever reason.Honestly, I'm not saying it's the case one way or the other - personally I have no idea at all - but you could understand if we didn't have the spare cash.
BS
Son, LLoris and Kane and worked their way up to the top of the Pile.
Ndombele is a bum and isn;t on that money, which has been confirmed before.
its well known we DONT pay top dollar.
Hence why we've all been on here for 15\20 years crying about players choosing other clubs.....even when they were NOT in europe.
Yes, but Arsenal managed to sign some quality players when they were nowhere near CL.
Offer the right money and other than the truly world class players (who we can't afford and who are already at bigger teams anyway) most will consider coming....
Well then he will fail.I've already explained this! He has a fetish for Lederhosen, Reisling and sloppy sausages.
My disappointment with this is that I had hoped Richarlison was signed as a back-up CF who could also play alongside Kane and provide an extra option on the wings. Last summer, if it had been clear that Richarlison was being signed as Kane's successor, most fans would have been outraged. Following a season where Richarlison only scored on PL goal, it should be expected that fans will be less happy with this succession plan now than they would have been last summer.
