I think my point was that long term recurring injuries don‘t always show up on medicals. He’s had this operation in order to still be able to play football. Medically his knee might be enough to go through a medical. But it’s clear he’s not the same player as he was before this happened to him. Much like Sessegnon doesn’t seem mentally able to run at full pace any more, Fati doesn’t have that explosive pace that allowed him to take on his man anymore.I don't know if they're comparable? I know nothing about medicals but surely if half his knee is missing amour doctors would look at it and say no way?
