I hope so. Would like to see GLC in there. I just wonder why he never tried GLC in that role once in pre-season and brought Sarr off the bench for Skipp ahead of him vs Brentford.

Doesn't feel to me like Ange sees Lo Celso in that role just yet and I don't think he'll throw him in vs United if he is considering it.

Maybe he doesn't know enough about GLC to trust him defensively, but I don't think he needs to worry too much about that. Bloke loves a tackle.

After Buendia's injury, Villa tried to again to bring in GIO, but their efforts were rebuffed. GIO's potential transfer from Tottenham hinges on a promising offer, as there's a demand for his skills right now from several clubs. Nevertheless, Ange is intent on retaining him.

My feeling is he stays.

I'm begging to see a GLC-Bissouma-Maddo midfield
I also wouldn't be against having one of Maddo or GLC on the wing (LWF, RWF respectively) for some games.

It's not the incumbents bring much at this point, and I think it could be interesting alternative if we need to really grab a hold of midfield

Got to say I’d be really hacked off if he went to somewhere like Villa and excelled. Always thought there was a good player there and the fact that he didn’t fit into Conte’s must be outmanned at all times midfield didn’t alter that view

Every spurs fan in the world was screaming for a Rwb last transfer window,

Every spurs fan isn't in control of the club. In fact, none of them are. None of them are able to make decisions on purchases or managerial hires.

People wanted Conte backed, if he was staying. Or a quick decision made if not. And if not and we're going to be making purchases in the January transfer window, then we make sure we're hiring managers who have a certain continuous style so that they can continue to use the players.

Instead we has this whole weird in between where we kind of backed Conte, then fired him soon after and then hired a manager who has a totally different style of play.

Let's hope he can either improve his defending or his attacking so that he can play appropriately further forward or back.

For sure you know very well this is a player of limited dimensions

I love Gio and really hope he stays, I'm sure he'll get a decent amount of minutes and games over the whole season.

Also for the amount we'd sell him for we'd probably have to pay double or more to sign a replacement of the same quality and suitability to Ange's system.

We have £100mil from a Kane sale and are trying to sell about another 7 players, lets hope we don't need to sell him for the money as we need to add more creativity and attacking threat not reduce it!

Ange loves these types of players so I'm hopeful he will stay.

If he doesn’t start against utd then I guess he’s gonna be itching for a move regardless of what Ange says to him. Can’t blame him either. He’s a different level over skipp. And he really should have got minutes against Brentford. I mean Maddison even could have made way as he was getting close to a second booking.

I thought Maddison may have been taken off for fear of a second yellow. Then I wondered if the manager hesitated as he’d already subbed off his captain and one of the two vice captains. Sure, he could have nominated someone else to take the armband for 10/15 mins but maybe didn’t want to have to do that in the first league game.

We used all our substitute slots so nobody was getting subbed after Sarr came on, that's why Postecoglu was annoyed about the concussion sub paperwork mistake.

You mean three intervals... yet Sarr and Perisic came on at the same time, same interval, so that was the 2nd after Romero. One should have remained, and two additional subs to make the 5.

EDIT: at least per my reading of this article on the rules https://www.sportingnews.com/us/soc...bstitutions-how-many/ylrzmyisidoqip7ksiny5rck
... permitted to make up to five substitutions in a single game.

... with in-game changes only allowed at three intervals.

We only used 3 subs? Sanchez for Romero after 14 mins, then Son and Perisic for Skipp and Son at 75.

It then goes on say including half time but that's ambiguous I guess. If I'm wrong I don't know why he was so annoyed about it as he could have made another substitution.

It's not ambiguous. It's just saying if you make a sub at half-time, that counts as one of the 3 slots/intervals. We only used 2 (14 mins and 75 mins), so could have brought on another 2 subs at the same time to use our 3rd interval. The concussion sub allows you to effectively have an extra sub/interval, but the other team also gets to use it (if required)

For any sub or does it have to be for a head injury?
