It's not ambiguous. It's just saying if you make a sub at half-time, that counts as one of the 3 slots/intervals. We only used 2 (14 mins and 75 mins), so could have brought on another 2 subs at the same time to use our 3rd interval. The concussion sub allows you to effectively have an extra sub/interval, but the other team also gets to use it (if required)
Yes but that doesn't explain why Postecoglu didn't use another sub when we could have and was annoyed that we had failed to tick the concussion box.

He was annoyed because player health should be paramount over administration (ie ticking the wrong box) I don't know why he didn't use a 3rd sub window? Potentially kept it in case of a late injury to stop us playing 10 men

Every spurs fan in the world was screaming for a Rwb last transfer window,

I'm surprised so many people are in such agreeance about this comment as I think it's an example of trying to show Spurs fans as not knowing what they want by cutting the point from the context. We had a manager who played with a system that was extremely reliant on wing backs, that was when the clamour for a RWB was taking place. We sacked him and now we're not using a system with wing backs, I don't think Spurs fans should have clairvoyance expected of them. Nor is it unreasonable to think, perhaps the person making the decision might have a better vantage point.

I think he'll leave now. Just won't get enough opportunities here. He more than proven himself in pre-season and is very clearly good enough to play at a high level; it would be a bad career move to stay here and only come off the bench when we're chasing equalizers or something.

Not a criticism on the coach for not playing him, but if he's keen to leave, Real Sociedad want him and are prepared to pay up without another bs loan, we shouldn't stand in his way.

Yes we should. Good player who can cover across the midfield. He'll get his chances, especially if/when PEH leaves.

You can’t just let anyone go who doesn’t play the first two games. We’re a serious injury to Maddison away from him playing every minute!

He'll get minutes and starts. We have Bournemouth on the 26th and a cup game on the 29th - he's one good performance away from forcing his way into the starting 11.

We’d be mad to let him go. Deserves a start against Fulham in the cup though.
Exactly we would be super light with an injury or two if he goes.

I'm already worried if Udogie, our CBs or Bissouma get injured

yeah but he is a 1st team player, he isnt going to be happy just to wait for Maddison to get injured to get a game. i think Locelso is a great player, and doesnt deserve to be on the bench

The guy is 27, only fairly recently came back from a devastating injury and we'd be asking him to play backup when there's a Champions League club who allegedly want him in a country he's probably more comfortable in.

Well, he could've come on today, but the coach preferred the guy who has one eye on the exit door. This tells me he doesn't see Lo Celso as a no.8 at all, and his only entry point to the team is in place of Maddison. Lo Celso played the more advanced midfield role all pre-season; it's clearly his preferred position.

If he's happy to be a backup, that's fine, but if he wants to leave, I don't think we should hold him down. I suspect the latter scenario is more likely.

He’ll get plenty of minutes and unfortunately that’s just football. If he was so great, someone would have snapped him up in the 3 years we’ve been trying to sell him…guess what? Still here.

Those saying he should be on over PEH, we’re never going to be on the same page, because very different players and if you’re shovelling him on for Sarr at 1-0 against Utd, you’re doing it for sake of it. We won btw

It’s hard to know what’s been said behind the scenes in regards to his role. I’m surprised tho that he hasn’t featured at all in ether games tbh. It’s a tricky situation because if he moved we would be completely reliant on Maddison and if he got injured or was out of form then we would be fxcked.

Truth is Gio is too good a player to be a back up and I’m also sure he wouldn’t be happy with just being a back up to Maddison. Which again relates to the dialogue between Gio and Ange. I’m sure if he stays he would get game time but on the flip side I’d say there’s zero chance he starts any time soon.

Personally I want him to stay but I also want him to play. My concern is that if we did sell him it would be an incredibly hard position to replace. We can’t go through the season with just Maddison as our sole creative player.

...in place of?
Certainly not Bissouma.
Sarr? Doubt it. We also have Bentancur coming back to compete for that spot.

That leaves Maddison. This is clearly the position Lo Celso is suited to playing; not the Bissouma/Sarr roles.
Maddison will 100% be starting every game barring injuries. I don't think Lo Celso will be happy to be a bench player.

Ppl have this idea that we MUST have top quality depth in every starting 11 position. This might carry weight if we're playing Champions League football, but I don't think it's fair to make a player as good as Lo Celso a bench player in a season with no european football.

apart from fa and league cup, we are playing 1 game a week, as no games in Europe. my guess is, if he doesnt play between now and the transfer window closing, he will go somewhere in Spain.
