Yeah, think I'm taking a break from this today. What will be will be, I just can't be arsed to deal with the levels of disrespect people show toward our players. Some of you are acting like proper wankers.

People give Levy shit for being a hurdle to signing new players - if any of them came in here and saw the abuse being flung about I'd not want to come and play here.

Appreciate the efforts of our ITK, I appreciate updates and news but I'll watch from a distance, ta much.
See you in a couple of hours my man :cautious: .

I like Dier and he could be useful as a squad player, but his options are leave or probably don't play. The club are trying to find him a decent move by the sound of it so if he won't leave it's his choice to possibly not play.
Dier doesn’t even work as a squad player because he’s too slow and and ange likes to play with a high line. He will be exposed to anyone with a bit of pace.

There will be games where we drop deep towards the end of the match. That's when he could be useful.

Tottenham close in on deal for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher

Chelsea and Tottenham are currently negotiating the transfer of Conor Gallagher with the key problem in closing a deal for the England midfielder one of price. Having turned down a £40m offer from West Ham last month, Chelsea want £45 million for the 23-year-old while Spurs’ valuation is closer to £35 million.

It remains to be seen whether the two parties can reach an agreement before today’s deadline. Gallagher would be the fourth Cobham academy graduate to leave Chelsea in this window alone, with the possibility that Trevoh Chalobah also departs today for Bayern Munich. As with Gallagher, that deal is also being worked upon.

Having invested heavily once again in this summer window, Chelsea’s view is that they should realise top value for academy players with extensive Premier League experience. Gallagher was named in a very competitive England squad by Gareth Southgate this week - one of four Cobham graduates included along with Levi Colwill, Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori. Once again, indicative of just how successful the Cobham operation has been over the last 15 years under academy director Neil Bath.

Gallagher has been a regular so far under Mauricio Pochettino and has two years left on his deal.

Interesting there's be no snippets regarding CGs attitude towards this potential move.

I guess he doesn't want to say much incase the move falls through...with our rivalry with Chelsea and all that.

But you normally hear stuff like the player is open to the move etc

A Chance of a tosin and Sanchez swap with cash but would be separate deals
Some fantastic promising updates today 🙏🙏🙏 still preparing myself for all these deals collapsing come about 5pm 🕔😅but if we could get Tosin and Johnson and Gallagher it’d be the first window in about 20 years where I’ve felt not only are we not left short in certain areas but that we’ve effectively had a good plan and executed on it and if so huge credit to Ange in managing that upwards.

Let’s see how the day plays out, but deals like Tosin as a back-up CB upgrade and homegrown would be great to see if we can get them done.

Huge thanks to the ITK guys and mods etc throughout this whole window, it’s been one of the busiest and craziest I can remember, let’s hope it has a happy ending 🤣😅🤞🙏🕔

I believe Tosin can play both RCB and LCB. As such would be a clear upgrade of our CB options and probably the best outcome for us today.

I'd be content with Sanchez staying and Kelly coming in, with a view for a top CB option to replace Sanchez in a future window.

If we were to bring in Tosin and Kelly then I think we'd be putting ourselves in an awkward position going forward however.

That has been in the media today that he's open to it. Talksport had info from 'around the player' and I'm sure I've seen it from at least one journo too.

I can see why people are being concerned about Chelsea selling to us but the Boehly model for FFP is all about selling homegrown talents from their academy/loan farm to fund these big money deals for top prospects. If PEH has a deal agreed I think it goes through quickly.

I wouldn't call it a good plan honestly. It would be a good window especially as Tosin, Gallagher and Johnson have been linked so they are long running targets. The issue is that even if it comes off today it should never come down to 3 signings on deadline day. That's far too risky and I wouldn't fancy us doing this again in future.

Christ on a bike, The bloke has been a great servant to the club and yes he may be on the wane now but the disrespect being thrown at Dier is shocking in my opinion. He may not play but he is a solid and intelligent bloke who I think would offer more being around than just tossed out if he cant find a move to suit him. State of some of the comments on here making me want to go all Will Smith and give it the take Eric Diers name out of yo mouths!!!
Great post I've been thinking this for days. The guy has 49 England caps as well. Off his game the last few years, yes but give him a break.
