Nico Williams?! No thank you.
He’s one of the biggest young wing prospects out there and would be absolutely perfect for the system. I can’t think of a better target. Might be hard to get him tho as he has started the season really well. He got a goal and assist for Spain the other day.

I watched the wales game and thought Johnson played pretty well especially that even though wales dominated the game they were weirdly too defensive and played way too deep. He had a good few chances to score as well and with a bit more technique he would have bagged a couple. The thing is that he was playing as a striker and many forest fans have said he is just not that at all and for Forest looks best on the right. The pundits though seemed completely oblivious to that even though one of them was Welsh, he obviously doesn't watch Forest play then.

In the match though you could see his pace and aggression and also how he can weave in and out of defenders. With the way he was closing down i think he will be great in the setup we have now, i'm just not sure he will every play as a striker unless we really need one.

Pretty sure you think I'm talking about Neco Williams from Nottingham Forest.

Don't worry, I'm not. I'm talking about Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. One of the biggest winger talents in Europe.
According to TranserMarkt his contract runs out next summer. Any idea if that's correct? If so we should be all over a January deal

Officially yes but there were rumours he was signing an extension. The thing is, those rumours have been around for a while and it still hasn't been officially announced so who knows...

Adding Williams to Son, Richarlison, Johnson, Deki and Solomon would be superb.

Bloody hell we've only just signed Johnson and Soloman is just finding his feet but people want to talk about a player we haven't even been linked too and the window is closed

enthusiasm. perisic might be on his way and I think most are expecting that richie will go at some point.

Or maybe not being obsessed about transfers all the time. The window is closed, we have plenty of youth to develop under Ange. At least lets see how Gil, Johnson, Kulusevski and Soloman all devlop over the course of the season. They're all early 20s and people still want to let their mind move along to the next signing. Is it enthusiasm or just patience?

Same, he's my favourite ever Spurs player.

Was absolutely devasted when he left us.

I was more upset by Modric leaving. I didn't know what Bale would become, he was a total Jonah for us for a long time, but I could already see the impact Luka had and was gutted when he left.

Same. As a non-UK, he was a major reason for my falling in love with Spurs. Was gutted when he left. My all-time favorite Spurs player by far.

I always found it odd but I felt the same. Even compared to Harry who is probably the best player I've ever seen, I always felt more strongly attached to Bale for some reason? Both absolutely quality though.

Good to hear some big names get behind Johnson, I really hope he hits the ground running with us with a few goals or assists. I think if he could get that confidence from the get go, the sky is the limit for him!

Yeah i initially thought that before having a cheeky google and a look on transfermrket.

An actual right footed winger who prefers playing on the right!

They all seem to want to play on left lately.

Bale was unplayable in his final season hence why Real broke the transfer record to get him. It's a shame we didn't have him at that level for a bit longer. He was still great under Redknapp though. Modric was also amazing and was at that level for a bit longer with us. However Bale was more of a match winner. What made it hard to lose them both was not having an obvious replacement at the time they were sold. Dembele was no sure thing at the time and took a bit of time to hit his level. Son followed on from Bale but also started slow. If we had Dembele and Son come in as replacements at the level they ended up being it would have made the sales much easier at the time.
