On the grounds of playing the victimization card. It was never going to be overturned. But now it’s official, the club and fans can have another good moan.
Up until this week, I liked Liverpool. Have never held an inkling of disdain. But the club, the coaching staff and their fans have acted like brats.
Crappy decisions happen to every team. This was one terrible thing that went against them. Everything else from that game they have no cause for complaint. Yet, they’re clinging on to this injustice like their club has been docked 20 points and banned from making any transfers for the next ten years, and have to pay a 200m fine, ‘cos Klopp farted in the wrong direction.
Move on.

No real logic to it, just want them to suffer. Blaaagh!- I don’t even mean in a metaphorical sense. They actually, really did not beat us. Both teams had two goals. One of ours was stolen.

- I've now seen at least two articles praising Spurs for 'overcoming adversity' in beating us yesterday. Pretty nifty that you can now get plaudits for overcoming someone else's adversity
- They are not very creative at all for a side thats supposedly attacking. I get the feeling Crocodile Dundee’s ability is fully based upon his man management than the tactical side of the game

It was a corrupt organisation working on behalf of a gulf state owned team which caused the problems.- That lap of honor with the kids is going to look pretty fucking stupid at the end of the season - with 11 on the pitch I'm convinced we would have hammered them . We nearly done it with 9 .
- I do work with some spurs fans, and was listening to them go on about decisions that have gone against them in previous years against us. Always fun listening to it from another fans point of view, as Liverpool fans think the exact opposite.
Be nice if when push is changed, everyone just agreed maybe its needed- Trouble is most fans just believe what they read in the rags or hear the garbage pundits spout. SKY & Talkshite have pushed an anti Liverpool agenda for decades and all the soccer AM bantz doesn't help either.
Every team thinks they are picked on, every team gets a bad decision or mistake occasionally but its way beyond that with us.
I know what I have seen with my own eyes every week.- They'll be fuming that no one's talking about them taking 4 points from 6 against Arsenal and Liverpool or that they're second in the table and just a point off City

Seen it all now, people giving up after seven games saying Spurs of all teams has won the league …- what annoys me most about them (and always has) is the hugely misplaced idea that they're a massive club on the same level as ourselves and United. When we inevitably take them apart at Anfield, I really want the whole team sat on the floor doing ooops up side your head, in front of the Spurs bench. While the subs form a Conga and surround that little gobshite Son. I am beginning to really hate him because of his constant cringeworthy behaviour after anyone scores.- Mad how many favourable decisions these have had against us in recent years - last night aside, there was the obvious Skipp red card last season which was 10x worse than the Jones challenge, there was that 2-2 game the year before (when we lost out on the league by a point, you'll remember...) when Kane got away with a leg breaker on Robertson which is a red card 100 times out of 100, and the most stonewall penalty I've ever seen on Jota was waved away. Even that 2-2 game a few years back where Mo scored that ridiculous solo goal and Spurs were given two dubious late penalties and mouth-breather Kane told the camera "can't give me two chances". Those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

As someone who despises Spurs and everything and everyone associated to Spurs, i have found the Ange love in fucking nauseating. Anything that paints him as a c*nt is alright by me.
- I must admit if the above quote is true, and assuming there are no contextual factors (I haven't watched any aftermath), I'm a bit disappointed in Ange as well. I thought he'd be a cert to come out and admit that Liverpool were robbed, that his club are the fortunate recipients of an officiating shitshow, and show some sympathy for what happened to us.

The club will surely be aggressively seeking clarity as to why there's no defined protocol about the following:
1) The On-field team informing VAR clearly of the on field decision - Goal / No Goal + reason why.
2) The need to not rush the VAR check and confirm between VAR and AVAR the decision.
3) The VAR team clearly informing the on-field team of the decision - "It was onside, you should award a goal" or "It was offside, correctly disallowed"
There's either not a set protocol for communication, or there is and Darren England has fucked it either because he's complete gash or because he's fixing the match. - Club will have to take legal advice i'd say. England has clearly ignored the 4th officials request to halt the game, England who was in UAE 48hrs earlier. It's an absolute scandal.

For sure I get the frustration when a big decision goes against you, but seriously abusing a human at his house due to a decision costing them 1 point (potentially as no one can predict what happens if a goal was scored at a different time)
There are a few Liverpool fans to be fair with a reasoned outlook, but the victim mentality of most of them because of one game and one decision is utterly ridiculous. The fact they created a change petition says it all.

I hope this gives the refs an actual bee in their bonnet about Liverpool but i doubt it.
wouldn't it be glorious if all of the marginal calls that always fall in their favour suddenly evaporated.

- Having listened to it a couple of times, and contrasted it with the Newcastle one, the lack of communication and clarity in this instance is astounding.
It makes Darren England look fucking horrific, he's either that incompetent that he needs to be sacked and never referee a game of football ever again, or he's fixing the match. There's no in between there.
The club will surely be aggressively seeking clarity as to why there's no defined protocol about the following:
1) The On-field team informing VAR clearly of the on field decision - Goal / No Goal + reason why.
2) The need to not rush the VAR check and confirm between VAR and AVAR the decision.
3) The VAR team clearly informing the on-field team of the decision - "It was onside, you should award a goal" or "It was offside, correctly disallowed"
There's either not a set protocol for communication, or there is and Darren England has fucked it either because he's complete gash or because he's fixing the match.- Club will have to take legal advice i'd say. England has clearly ignored the 4th officials request to halt the game, England who was in UAE 48hrs earlier. It's an absolute scandal.
- That is grounds for a replay & I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks.
- Awful! England knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s told immediately what’s happened but he has no interest whatsoever in attempting to do anything about it. If he’s not corrupt then he’s most definitely incompetent and not a fit person for the role he’s paid to do. Needs sacking

One sensible line in there - they should indeed inform the on-field team of the outcome in unambiguous terms. “Check complete” is insufficient, so add “goal stands/disallowed” or just speak whole sentences. It’s a simple fix that can be implemented immediately to avoid repeats of that type of mistake. Learn from archaic lower-budget sports like cricket.

Get them all fired, starting with Webb.- This is what I heard. … checking goal offside … then I heard the video operator telling them it was a mistake and them acting soft and pretending not to understand what he was saying and deliberately repeating the wrong words ….. followed by a very very long pause then …. Ahhhh too late. I heard matchfixing.
