Thought we were excellent for most of that but defensive lapses (surprise) cost us. Really worried that we are gonna struggle in the second half now.

All of these injuries are going to make getting a result tough.
Even with the ultra positivity going forwards. That central core of Hojbjerg, Davies and Emerson is going find themselves second best.
That one is hard to take having been better by far that half but it does feel any attack can undo us atm.

Dier should be playing this game theres no height in defence, bullied every time the ball goes in

What's the point literally.

A team can only cope with so many players out.

Baffled people want Gil off, he's been decent.
It's because every time he gets the ball, it goes backwards and inside. He needs to go foward and outside his man a bit more. Not sure what we can do about that, though. Bring Veliz on, and shift Son out to the left?

I don't see much difference in the tackle that Romero got red carded for and the Kamara one on Porro. Both got the ball first and then followed through dangerously. Where's the consistency?

I need to be calm if we play like this and lose as this is how I want my team to play

In time when we get better players we will really start to achieve

Good to see we're back though, outside of CB our depth is decent as long as we're brave in our selection.

Mistakes creeping in. Easily Gil’s best game for us but I’m still not convinced he’s suited to the PL. I really like him but it’s just too fast and furious for him let alone being lightweight.

Taking everything into account that's the best half we've played all season. Imagine if Kane and Maddison were in that first half side. We'd have been 5 up.

Massive shame about Rodrigo but doesn't look too serious and Bissouma is back next game.

Now that cash is booked and done another foul. 1 more and he should be off. I'd get Johnson to run at him

Yep, we have to really dig in and take a chance or two second half. Really can’t be losing three on the spin before City away next week.

hojbjergs very adept at making himself unavailable but holding his hands out for the pass when a player needs an option. No surprise we’re starting to lose it more trying to play out.

Gil’s played well, or are we doing the thing where one mistake means you’re shite and should never play again?
I’d argue he’s been a mixed bag; some incisive runs and a great cross with which Son chickened out of attacking, along with a couple of wasteful touches in the Villa box, and is responsible for Vicario having to rush a clearance which led to their goal.

We have played really well with a make shift team...and against an inform Villa. Poor goal to concede but it happens.

Some of you are such miserable, negative bastards.
