Properly pathetic certainlyProper derby game

Football has become far too sanitised - hopefully can find a way to meet in the middle (proper edge and rowdy atmospheres without complete violence)Properly pathetic certainly
Keep it sanitised if that's the alternative.Football has become far too sanitised - hopefully can find a way to meet in the middle
Yeah agreed, it’d be imbecilic to celebrate if you’re in there. I was in the home end for us at Stoke years ago and had to sit on my hands when we scored coz I knew I’d get my head kicked in if I didn’t. And we aren’t even rivals of theirs. To do it in a derby is asking for trouble.I haven’t said otherwise, but the reality is that in a derby game emotions and tensions do run that high and anyone who has ever been to derby game - be it NLD, Birmingham v Villa, Tyne/Wear or even an East Anglian Derby - knows that. Therefore anyone buying tickets in amongst the opposition fans for such an encounter is an idiot.
NB If anyone thought WBA v Wolves wasn’t an intense rivalry with the potential for trouble, they might want to consider why it was scheduled for 11:45am!
Yeah I sat on my hands in the home end at the Etihad when Crouch sent us to the CL. I have absolutely no sympathy with people who go into the "wrong" end and can't control themselves, no matter what type of game it is.Yeah agreed, it’d be imbecilic to celebrate if you’re in there. Sure people shouldn’t get violent over football but crowds tend to be as dumb as their dumbest member and emotions run very high in games like this.
Agree, if you're in with opposing fans you exercise common sense and you don't celebrate, whilst I in no way condone violence, anyone with even a modicum of knowledge of football should know it's a complete no no. If trouble comes you're way as a result of celebrating in with opposing fans in a ground you can hardly be surprised.Yeah I sat on my hands in the home end at the Etihad when Crouch sent us to the CL. And that of course doesn't mean I condone any violent scenes whatsoever. Neanderthal gesturers yes, but a horrible disproportionate response. Again, it's just fucking football.
No bookings according to BbC. Is that right?
Casemiro just been booked for a nasty tackle
A bye gone era now but in my dads day we used to intentionally go in the north bank and kick off and take itInteresting to think of the mindset of a fan that goes to an away derby and sits in the home end and celebrates a goal… crazy behaviour.
