These cretinous fans are the people in society who should be getting 'cancelled' i.e lose you job etc. Catch these simpletons on cctv and shame them publicly.

I haven’t said otherwise, but the reality is that in a derby game emotions and tensions do run that high and anyone who has ever been to derby game - be it NLD, Birmingham v Villa, Tyne/Wear or even an East Anglian Derby - knows that. Therefore anyone buying tickets in amongst the opposition fans for such an encounter is an idiot.

NB If anyone thought WBA v Wolves wasn’t an intense rivalry with the potential for trouble, they might want to consider why it was scheduled for 11:45am!
Yeah agreed, it’d be imbecilic to celebrate if you’re in there. I was in the home end for us at Stoke years ago and had to sit on my hands when we scored coz I knew I’d get my head kicked in if I didn’t. And we aren’t even rivals of theirs. To do it in a derby is asking for trouble.

Sure people shouldn’t get violent over football but crowds tend to be as dumb as their dumbest member and emotions run very high in games like this.

Yeah I sat on my hands in the home end at the Etihad when Crouch sent us to the CL. I have absolutely no sympathy with people who go into the "wrong" end and can't control themselves, no matter what type of game it is.

And that of course doesn't mean I condone any violent scenes whatsoever. Neanderthal gesturers yes, but a horrible disproportionate response. Again, it's just fucking football.

Agree, if you're in with opposing fans you exercise common sense and you don't celebrate, whilst I in no way condone violence, anyone with even a modicum of knowledge of football should know it's a complete no no. If trouble comes you're way as a result of celebrating in with opposing fans in a ground you can hardly be surprised.

I've been in with home against West Ham a few times as my partner is a Spammer and in particular I was in the Bobby Moore Stand when Eric Dier scored in injury time on his debut and as much as I would have loved to celebrate I knew only to well what trouble would have come my way if I did, as did my partner when she was sitting next to me so using obvious common sense I exercised considerable restraint in hiding my joy.

I'm also going to Goodison Park next week as a really good mate of mine is an Everton season ticket holder. As I wanted to see the place before they move he has managed to get me a ticket, and as Spurs supporter since the mid seventies I clearly know the rules of not celebrating as an away fan in the Home end.

Cannot believe how many players NC are committing to attacks. You’d think they’d shut up shop in the hope of a replay.

Interesting to think of the mindset of a fan that goes to an away derby and sits in the home end and celebrates a goal… crazy behaviour.
A bye gone era now but in my dads day we used to intentionally go in the north bank and kick off and take it
