Levy has to be positioning the club for a sale.
However much we can convince ourselves of Levy’s emotions or nostalgia, he simply never would’ve splurged this kind of cash on a 31 y/o AND agreed to a player with a buyback clause a season or two ago.
But for the short-term they’re a fantastic...
For years I’ve wanted Rakitić...his vision, passing, movement—gliding through defenses to deliver the perfect ball. I don’t have many kits but I’ve got a Crotia one with his name on it.
But after his last season and in our financial situation? No way. As sad as it is, the 32 y/o is declining...
Of course. As we're seeing, it's incredibly difficult to sign any willing player that would improve our squad, let alone fit into Poch's system in character, mind, and talent. But it still stands that nearly 5 years in at a now consistently top-4 club in the EPL (thanks to him), he (and Hitchen...
I agree with the sentiment, but it assumes that Poch's choices actually do improve the first team. As ITKs have expressed, his choices haven't always done that.
I don’t think he’ll go, and you’re right that there are many things to consider at United but a squad that finished second in the league just months ago, is in the UCL knockouts, and has been sitting out their £100m midfielder is hardly a “huge rebuilding job.”
"Dier: Tottenham will shut up transfer critics" -- yeah Eric, because if we had signed any Fifa-registered CM available, you wouldn't have seen a minute this season
How he doesn't see that it's Winks OR Dembele, Dier OR Wanyama, is beyond me. Without clear roles, how can they expect to know what in the world to do.
I'll try to keep this as objective as possible, mostly to use this as a time capsule to reflect on come May.
Our transfer system is broken. Not only because we didn't sign anyone, but because it's an inefficient business model for an organization of this size. Our youth system is struggling...
Good write up + videos on Lobotka from a Gooner who loves him :joyful:

More than wages, transfer fee, or fan appreciation, etc. the biggest roadblock I see is promised playing time. We know that historically, Chelsea are the worst with this (see: Drinkwater, all of their loans, etc.) but if they actually end up selling Willian and/or Hazard (which may be agreed...
Is it possible we may have made a bit too much of "being brave" this window? Or perhaps it really will be the defining comment of this window? It's just that other than the Kane contract (which IS massive) it seems misaligned with our window thus far.
