I love that every time someone mentions a fairly large fee its always followed with how much is Walker worth?

I'm going to start using this in everyday life.

"my meal deal cost £3.79, how much would Walker be worth?"

Need more details on the meal deal before we can give a informed answer.

I mean there is a difference between a meal deal from Pret a Manger, Greggs or McDs.....

Looks like Van Dijk is going to Liverpool then. Ballsy for them to match Citeh's £200k a week offer. Klopp's office door is going to knocking with other players wanting parity. Good start to summer for them getting him and Salah.

I don't think Van Dijk is that good. Saw a few Saints games this season and he was all over the fucking place positionally.

Personally the fact that all of the other big teams will spend 200m+ this year is good as only 1 can win it and they are going to put some serious pressure on themselves.

Also there are more than a handful of good players in the world. Whilst they are all dining at the "top table" I'm more than happy to see us feed of "scraps" like Eriksen, Wanyama, Dele Alli, Alderweireld etc etc.

I know people are critical about last summer but we added Wanyama and if we can cheaply add 1 player each season who makes a difference then we are doing a great job.

Harry Kane actually abused him. It was nasty to watch.

Other than that I do rate him a lot, thing is, he's no spring chicken and has one very good season in a top league to his name.
Wimmer would look a billion dollars in Scotland for example.

Defending for Southampton is very different to defending for Liverpool. Lovren looked a very good defender at Southampton and suddenly became a complete mong in a Liverpool shirt. Safe to say, concentration levels need to be higher when defending less frequently. £50m+ and £200k a week is colossal money.
