Our double winning team wore shirts with a shield. I don't see the problem.

Yeah I'm well aware of that... as I've posted before I like the original shield with just the cockerel in it, but personally I'm not so keen on the proportions of it when the cockerel is on the ball.

I think they're using the shield to divert attention from the horrible and completely dominant sponsor logo. On a plain shirt like this, a cockerel alone may get lost.

Exactly. Doesnt suit the modern badge.

The sponsor looks way too high. It's detracting from the crest. I guess that's the point of the sponsor's logo being on the shirt but AIA can fuck off after this deal is out imo

"The cockerel is away from it's home and the idea of the shield is that it protects it on it's travels. Will be removed when returns to WHL."

A supposed explanation of the shield, from someone who knew way back in January that there was a shield in the first place.

Well I say we bring the seven trees planted by the seven sisters, the lions of the 'Harry Hotspur' family crest and Bruce Castle with us too. And maybe something from Chick King if the Cockerel doesn't already represent it.

I think they are the best kits in years & il probably get both!!! The red AIA doesn't bother me at all after all the previous red sponsors we've had. The scum have white lettering on their rags & they don't seem to be bothered.COYS!

Gotta say, this has to be the most leaked kit we've EVER had.

Not complaining though.....love it when we get an early look.

On the issue of sponsor logo size, I'm not too worried, it always looks a bit different in the players and the logo size and position is dictated by Premier League and European rules for each competition, so it won't be any bigger than in past iterations.
