With all due respect to him, I've seen nothing to suggest that he gets good info, and is only told what the club wants us to hear.
Agree. Love Ally, but he seems to get fed the company line a lot. Especially if ManU are interested we're not exactly going to go out West Ham style and be "WE'RE BIDDING ON THIS PLAYER EVERYONE! HEY GUYS WE SUBMITTED A BID! GUYS!? HELLO!?"

Didn't he say the same when the Sanchez links initially came out? Seems like a club fed line to distance ourselves but we know from JJ and other ITK's that we are looking to do a deal.

To be fair, he hasn't been a full-time journalist for long (I think), so it would be harsh to expect him to have insane contacts in the club.

I thought that was the line that was used last week when Sky were reporting we had a bid rejected for him ...
The original story about our bid of £25m was in the telegraph last week. Came from Sam Wallace their chief football man. I have no doubt that he would not put his name to that unless his sources were very good, which they will be. Both clubs denied it but that often happens.

I was suggesting the stuff Sky reported from 'their sources' live on air and then what came after. I'm sure it's all linked no doubt.

I am an impatient spoiled child and I want this particular transfer to happen now. NOW. Get on it, Daniel: don't keep me waiting!

I'm a bit worried about this transfer on the back of the latest ITK. It would point to Graham Roberts compromising the deal with his announcement on talk sport. I hope I'm wrong but I think Gyid may be alluding to us having to lose out on Sessegnon in order to have any chance of signing Martial. The odds on RS joining United have been slashed today 25/1 down to 5/1 so clearly money has been wagered on that deal. I really hope I'm wrong but I have a horrible feeling.

As someone who watches betting patterns closely don't put too much emphasis on that. We may well lose out to United on this one but betters are very over confident on United completing deals they are linked too. Especially when sky news is involved.

We more likely need to wait for jj or someone to give an update on this.

Thing is I'd much rather the negative bit was to miss out on sessegnon, than to lose rose. We'll just buy sessegnon off them when he hasn't played for three years and is out of favour.

And this, betting is rubbish as a guide, particularly Utd or the scousers.

I'd much rather sign Sessegnon and have that bird securely in the bag rather than let United sign him and then trust them to not have their fax machine accidentally on purpose break down in the final hours when they're supposed to sell us Martial.

If any Martial deal is contingent on us doing something for them ie. Letting them sign a player or us selling them one I would make sure Martial is a done deal first. I don't trust that lot further than I can throw them.

I actually interpreted that ITK slightly differently. Like we were going to have to sell Rose or one of our other top players in order to fund multiple transfers. My biggest concern is if Barça come sniffing (formally) for Eriksen now that Coutinho is (seemingly) off the table.
