Saw a photo where skipp is same height as bennetts. So must be about 6ft.Quite surprised thought he was more like a scotty Parker about 5 9'.Funny how some players are really deceptive on height.

As @BC11 pointed out on Twitter, Skipp didn't make the squad, which shows how talented the group is because Skipp is clearly very highly rated at the club.

Looks like Gallagher has taken his place. At the Euros Denny was the DM option, apparently Gallagher has been doing brilliantly for Chelsea and offers a bit more of a goal threat. I'm sure Skipp will be on standby.

Not totally sold on Smith-Rowe but know he is very highly rated, just haven't seen enough Arsenal to make a proper judgement or seen enough of him for England. However there are plenty of other backup wingers I'd take and for him to be in ahead of them suggests he is talented.

You will not find a better starting 11 or squad at that tournament, with players that can easily be rotated in and out. The midfield is stronger than the one we took to the Euros and we would have won that but for 10 seconds of madness.

Onomah starting on the bench for the third straight game. Might as well cancel the loan if he's reduced to getting the odd cameo late in games :/

Anyone know if he carry some slight injury or something?

@Cornpattbuck @gp13tot @Sweech

if you can find me multiple examples of posters in here saying edwards should be starting for the first team then i will concede that i'm wrong, however i suspect that in actuality it's more like one or two at most that have said something along those lines and last time i checked one or two isn't "everyone" and is indeed closer to my estimation of "no one".

and regardless of who has or has not said that about edwards, him not scoring in one game isn't some kind of proof that he couldn't make a positive impact in certain situations for the first team.

I absolutely believe he could make an impact in the firsts. Ive regularly called on here for him to be involved from the bench, or starting games eg vs barnsley.

I was disagreeing with the point that few had called for Edwards to start games including prem and UCL. Lots have, and will continue to do so. More than one or two IMO.

I've been a fan of his since i saw him in the victory shield vs scotland about 4 years ago

I don't think anyone in this thread, I think more people in the Edwards thread, who wouldn't have seen him much but have heard the hype may have called fro him to start, but that's the irony of the situation. The people who actually have seen him play regularly in the youth teams are more measured in how he should be introduced.

Also congrats on Georgiou getting on today. Must have been a really special moment for him. If he shows his ability from a couple of years back he'd make a useful option

I didn't state in here. I actually wouldn't complain about it in here to be honest.

It's just all over the player threads, game threads, post game threads, etc.

Mostly the same perpetrator to be fair and I'm sure everyone could guess who. That said it becomes so tiresome and bogs down threads.

That said it does point to an overarching theme. That of bogging down numerous threads on this board with Poch doesn't play youth, X youth player should be playing, we shouldn't buy Y player because we've got X youth etc. Then when the youth don't cut it even in their youth games all the excuses come out. Poor pitch, Ugo Ehiogu (RIP), they're young, etc. Can't really have it both ways.

Hopefully he win back his spot in the starting lineup.
TBH, he lost his spot because he was injured and partly because Bruce is a numpty

Bruce has gone full defensive mode and its a tough watch, Onomah will struggle to fit in if I'm being honest
