According to Phil Neville, Kane isn't on Bales level yet because Bale has won the champions league LOL.

"Is he now at a higher level that Gareth Bale? I don't think so because Bale has won the Champions League and other titles.

He's a fantastic striker and he's getting up to world-class level, but Bale is at a world-class level. He's made the move for massive, massive money, he's proved to the world he can do it in European tournaments, Champions League finals.

He's done it on the biggest stage and it's not just doing it one game, Bale has done it over a period of a time.
If you can play for three or four years for a team like Manchester United or Real Madrid then that's when you can talk about being in the greats of European game. Bale has done that."

Apparently that is all it takes to be world class, a big money move and winning the champions league with a team worth millions, I guess we should just forget that Kane has been the top goalscorer two seasons in a row in the "toughest league in the world" and has been more consistent than Bale has been for years now.

Was just coming on here to post that-the but that got me was the line about Bale having made a move for massive money as part of a reason for being world class.:banghead:

So to reach the next level you have to sign for real and win the cl. Well how does that explain Pele and Maradona? Surely its more of a case he needs to help England win something.

Neymar left one of the 3 biggest clubs to go to a 5th rate league with one of its (historically) smallest teams. He says it was to help them win the Champions league and, in the process, show himself to be the best player in the world by doing that*

This is the complete opposite to what every fucktard Tottenham hating pundit is saying Kane should do.

If Neymar scored 15 goals on the way to PSG winning the competition he would deserve the world class tag and world player of the year more than anyone else, especially at Barcelona or Madrid.

Kane should be thinking The same way. It would prove his class if he dragged us to some big competition wins in the next few years.

* and earn half a million quid a week.

Such tripe gets people posting links to the Sky website on forums. They know what they're doing.

I read it and I wasn't even going to bother if I am completely honest because I know it is clickbait but I couldn't resist showing everyone how pathetic the media is, Kane will laugh at them in the long run, hell, he already is right now.

Point is Kane is on a level most people don't understand yet. They can't comprehend his present, and most importantly future level, and that he came out of a bleak youth career at a club that's been trophyless for a very, very long time. It's incomprehensible how Kane came to be and which level he is already at, so it becomes easier for the box ticking brain of usual pundits and fans to just spout off some nonsensical shite of this and that to try to cope with what they in nature simply can't understand.

I agree that Kane is not at Bale's level but I totally disagree he needs to move clubs to reach his level.

I don't see how Bale is better than Kane personally, I think in terms of importance for a team Kane is a level above Bale, also, Kane is more consistent than Bale has ever been.

Personally I think Kane has a higher ceiling than Bale and I think he is already ahead of him in terms of talent, it' only a matter of time before Kane wins titles with us and he will likely be the reason we do win one with his ability to score goals when it matters.

There are some aspects of Neville's thinking that is correct. Bale has played in three CL finals and scored the winner in one of them. CL finals and WC finals are the biggest stage and the biggest players need to influence things on that stage. As match winners. This is why Ronaldo and Messi have dominated modern football - they are the stars of the teams who have dominated the CL for much of the last decade. When Kane looks back on his career will he think losing a domestic Cup Final or getting to the last 16 of the CL reflects on him having been one of the greatest players to have played the game?

Bale has proven his quality over a longer period of time. He has dragged his country to the euros, been decisive for madrid in winning leagues and champions leagues. He also shone at spurs when we had a much worse team and coaching setup.

I'm not saying Kane won't reach Bale's level but right now he is behind him in my opinion.

Personally I don't think Bale is at "Bales level". At least not the level I think you are Neville are talking about. Bale has dropped off quite a bit from the player he was a couple of seasons back. Injuries have set him back and for me there is far from any guarantee he will get back to that level again. He is still an exceptional player but I'd take Kane ahead of him now all day long.

Just making it up as they go along. Both completely full of shit, and both have an agenda against the club.

I agree with you that when Bale was at his very best he was at a high level, world class some would say but Bale right now isn't the same Bale as before in my opinion, he has dropped off a level due to injuries and the like, I would take Kane above him in a team right now, no doubt about it.

I think Kane has done enough to be in the world class bracket already, let's just put it this way, there isn't a striker in world football I would take over him right now.

:D

This agenda stuff is rampant horseshit.

#tookthebait

I wouldn't say there's an agenda per se but Zidane gave Kane some praise yesterday with no indication he was up to any mischief, yet they report it as Real Madrid wanting to buy him, when he didn't say anything of the sort.

That's not right is it, they shouldn't be allowed to just make stuff up?
