He's certainly a miss granted but his presence wouldn't singularly be turning draws against Swansea, Burnley, WBA etc to wins.

He wouldn’t be gifting the ball away like Dele did today which led directly to the goal we conceded though.

Let’s face it, we aren’t as good as we think we are. So far this season we haven’t been be able to back up a good result with a win even against weaker sides. Personally I think the players are getting very complacent.

Agree and if we had a better squad someone like alli should be dropped for a few games and give him something to think about, clearing he thinks he is better than he really is although he is young and sometimes can have indifferent form.

See that Liverpool are set to replace us in the top four tonight which considering their sieve like defence is quite funny, but then they have the quality in attack to break teams down and stretch them unlike our sterile approach play.

Yeah...or perhaps not.

Welcome back btw your support was missed after the Dortmund match, this place felt empty in your absence.

We'll be incredibly unlucky to stay in the top 4 after close of the play on Sunday. That said I'd take Burnley replacing us temporarily as it will mean Arsenal will have lost.

We've taken 4 points from the last 12.

We had a mini slump around this time last season, maybe slightly earlier, where we didn't win for four games or something.

Poch has to arrest this immediately or the players are going to think turning up and coasting is acceptable.

We need a big performance and result against Leicester to revive our league form.

Kane, Eriksen and Alli need to show more consistency with their performances, although I'm not convinced the former is 100 per cent.

The other big factors, are Wanyama out coupled with a less effective Dembele.

That was a monstrous midfield. I think it's making a difference to how and where we're winning the ball back.

Absolutely. Wanyama's ability to win the ball quickly whether it's aggressive tackles or clever interceptions kept us on the front-foot. Teams couldn't get a respite as if it was like a wall with those two last season.

it's hilarious that people keep mentioning City, as though they're the only ones currently standing between us and a title win.

Jamie Carragher is 100% correct with what he said earlier this week. We get such an easy press, it's untrue. both Liverpool and Arsenal have been absolutely slaughtered at times this season for being poor, yet Liverpool are only a point behind us and Arsenal may well be ahead of us by the end of today. Chelsea have been in and out of crisis mode all season, yet are ahead. Man U's own fans hate watching them, yet they're ahead too. and then there's us, good old Tottenham. and no-one's being anywhere NEAR as critical about us as any of them. as a result, we're believing our own hype, but the truth is we're just not as good as we think we are.

The CL run is covering the cracks a bit but I can't think that many of us seriously thought that we were going to win the title? Top 4 again and a good run in the CL would represent a solid season. An FA cup final would be the icing on the cake.

I see more criticism of Spurs by our own fans than in the press. Yet supposedly they have an agenda against us

But fact is, one team can win it, and six teams' fans think they should win it. So 5 teams are going to have 'bad' seasons. And currently we're one of them. That's the reality.

So much sucking ourselves off on here when, bar CL heroics and being gifted goals (hello Liverpool!), we've been pretty so so all season, with many of our top performers last season missing or not fit, and us not doing what we did so well last term. Yet all you get on here is excuses, no manning up.

Chelsea, as I have also maintained for ages, had a really hard start compared to the other top 6 and were in an artificial position. I think they'll only go one way.

Did anyone really think we'd be fighting for the title this season?

Our title charges the last two seasons were based on home form. It was always very obvious that Wembley was never going to be the fortress that WHL was.
Ignoring any logistical differences, the players clearly would have felt more comfortable and used to WHL.

As long as we finish in the top 4 and have CL football at NWHL next season, I'll be happy.

I don't like wishing seasons away, especially with the team and manager we have now, but to get through this Wembley season in the top 4 would be a success IMO. Let's see what we can do in the CL and FA Cup.

Yes without name dropping there was some on here who thought we had a chance and that there was not a lot between city and us.
Clearly there is and yes while city and Utd have an advantage over us financially that still doesn't excuse why a suitable replacement has not been found for Kane after poch has been in charge for 3 seasons, and still we struggle on with an unfit dembele who was having issues last season.
There can be no doubt that levy and poch have taken the club on only a fool would suggest otherwise but this year I can't help feeling we have stagnated a bit, add to that I'm not really enjoying watching us this season despite the odd game as I'm bored rigid with the endless ball retention and so little end product.

15-16 season we were as good away as home 36 at home 34 away. Only 70 Pts.Last season was a one off only a couple of title winners have beaten that home record. 15-16 we drew too many games. We were never going to win the league at Wembley plus we are not yet at that level. Would hope that the new stadium will lead to us competing for top players although prob not 100m range
