I have a feeling that this window is going to be much better than everyone thinks/fears. I believe that Zaha is as good as done, Grealish too. Saying this I am a fully paid up member of the BSODL. Just can't believe our great folically challenged leader would allow our shiny new stadium to be entered without some shiny new players. I am not ITK but A & C optimism this morning must count for something as he is usually very anti-Levy and a miserable sod.

This thread and the whole site is absolutely fantastic and I can't speak highly enough of the staff. I will be donating £100 to the coffers once this window is complete. This is in part to contribute to the running costs and my guilt for not donating for a couple of years. It is also in part my belief, stupidly, that this is my tax to prevent A&C from entering with something shiny for my inane ramblings.

Not even in the running from what I hear.

Thanks Trix, as always appreciate you sharing.

I really do hate the way we mess around with players, I would hate if a company I applied to did that to me. We like you, but holding out for someone better.

Hmm still positive sounds from @Trix despite being so little time left.

This window is surreal.

Very interersting snippet. If Zaha is not in the running as a result of us not being interested, then we must be confident of getting an A list target in.

This window will go down in legend as either the best or worst in Levy’s tenure I feel.

What is confusing me a bit is that IT seems that we are shifting from speedy winger to central midt to cb from day to day... World be very surprising og we got all those positions covered in 80 hours or so...

How did you make that leap of faith? ( re Zaha)

I remain optimistic, maybe we are going to the wire because our top targets still remain obtainable.

Definitely others being worked on bud.

Regarding Grealish: He is desperate now to play in the Prem, We still have some way to move but his camp are optimistic. Thing is if we need to get somewhere close as far as financials are concerned and soon.

The concerns are that he will be a good last minute option to a lot of clubs should they miss out on other players, or need a replacement for last minute departures. There have been other clubs making discreet enquiries about his situation, and although he wants us, his people won't wait until the final hour if he has a good offer elsewhere.

My source on this is as good as it gets.;)
I thought this may happen. I know for a fact that both the scouting departments at Leicester and Everton have been really keen on him for a long time and they may have had to accept that they are second in the running once we got involved but they will certainly be waiting for that opportunity. Perhaps not Leicester so much after Maddison signing but there will certainly be other clubs too.

I'll just add I think it's no secret he wants us and Poch. All the other clubs are aware of this, as Leicester have already tried and been knocked back. Like I said there are clubs keeping tans on his situation, probably hoping things with us break down completely.
I think it would need to be ‘decent’ size club. Bruce mentioned CL, so it would need to be at least Europa imo. In addition I really can’t see a ‘smaller’ club having the instant finances available. JG wants international football also, and Spurs offers a good route to that.
