Spurs are basically at their peak, which is 3rd and trophyless. This is as good as it's going to get. 5 points ahead of a rebuilding Arsenal in Emery's first season and you guys are losing it.

Normally when teams perform above their squad cost they drop back at some point, usually because the good players they found for small money get poached, like Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater etc from Leicester.

What’s unusual with Spurs is that they don’t seem to have any problem hanging on to them. That’s what’s stopping them reverting to their 6th position.

Spurs couldn't win a raffle if they brought the only ticket.

Like clockwork A-m’s annual fawning over Spurs.. Wake me up when they actually achieve something

They have achieved something, tbf. They beat us in the Silly Cow Cup. That'll do for them. Tyler and Neville summed them up well today. They're not a club that needs to win anything, nobody takes them seriously.

Sp*rs as a club have been awful lately: ballsing up their stadium move and treating the locals of Tottenham with utter contempt. However, as a squad you’ve got to say they’re doing very well. No signings, fatigue from the World Cup and yet they’re still on course for a lot of points. It’s only because City and Liverpool are abnormally good this year that Sp*rs aren’t in a title race.

*coughs up a bit of grudging respect*

and Tottenham had players like Lucas and Lamela only on the bench.
And we have to deal with Iwobi and Mikhitaryan every week.

----

Lucas and Lamela aren't really that great either...

They're terrible, Lamela turns up twice a season and Lucas Moura just got off to a flukey start and has done nothing since.

wouldn't read too much into this. Everton are a disgrace.

Pickford was responsible for their first 3 goals.

The annual Sp*rs meltdown is still a couple of months away. (???)

Son is a Salah like player...top quality.

"Tottenham - massive underachievers on every level"
Excellent commentary

Their star players are just super happy to go trophyless year after year while taking 60% paycuts. Pretty unusual situation. No problems for them to stay competitive through the stadium debt, I guess.

was hoping for them to implode and Loose Poch with Kane and Ali and go back to where they belong.

They'll realize, for all their bravado, its a struggle for thrm to sell out their new toilet bowl on a weekly basis & the issue will be doubly difficult when they're repaying for it with their manager & best players looking for moves away.

Its happened to us, a club Tottenham's superior in every possible way. Fir them to believe they're immune to the realities of the Premier League is laughable & will make their inevitable collapse all the sweeter.

Immedately after our match, Everton fans have started a "This club is a joke" and a "Time to Sack the Manager" thread on the Grand Old Team . I've never been prouder of this club.
I do rate Silva but he's the complete opposite of Poch in the loyalty stakes

up to 3rd only 2 points off second place and nice new football stadium to move into..
yeah Brady can coat off Levy all she wants in her column..

Ha ! Just thinking the exact same. I'm sure Levy is gutted watching us plodding along in 12th in our rented bowl. She really ought to learn to just shut up

That 6th goal for Tottenham was a lovely goal. Superb one touch football and clinically finished by Harry Kane

The one thing we can give WHAM fans credit for is that they know how much Gold, Sullivan and Brady talk out of their asses.

Amazing how easily perception can be distorted by that age-old mixture of bitterness and fear.

Wankers.

Our club with the exception of trophies is superior in every way.

Our much better stadium will produce huge revenues and be sold out - unlike the empty FADING seats I saw on MOTD last night in their soulless bowl

I think our future > theirs

It must hurt

Player 3 has entered the title race.

Depending on our result against Liverpool Spurs will be probably 1 point ahead of us or 3 points off Liverpool. I think Spurs have joined the race alright

It’s actually hard to take in, we can ( may not) actually be the more successful club over a long period.
We were so far behind before ENIC took over. During the Wenger years etc, I just hope I live long enough to savour it all.
I’ll never get arrogant though, I hate young fans who dismiss other clubs pasts. We have always had the ‘potential ‘ to be a top club again and we are on our way to achieving that.
Such an exciting time in our history. I think it’s respect I crave more than anything.

".we’ve struggled to break down teams who come to Goodison and defend in numbers but we’ve performed reasonably well against the better teams away. It’ll be interesting how this game pans out. I can see Spurs scoring, it’s just whether we can take our chances at the other end.

I fear we’ll need 2 goals to get anything from the game."

I hope we never find out our players values, but I do sometimes wonder what levy values Kane, dele, Eriksen, son etc.

If someone offers to pay for our stadium - they would be sold. the fab four for our stadium

Ian Wright got pelters all day from gooners for praising Spurs and for using a blue heart every time we scored ? (which he said was for Hoddle).

He posted this too...

Their fans are in a state. ‘We’ve lost one of our own’ etc. Ha.
