Agree, ideally he can be a target man but much better with the ball at his feet than Llorente
forget Llorente's feet..... Quite happy with his ability to help them in with his hand

or his hip
Why is everyone on this forum so desperate for a pacey wide forward? I'd say with Son and Lucas, we've got two excellent options in that area.
What we could really do with is someone like Llorente, but five years younger, who can offer a different tactical option when we need it.
Well that makes him look good...
As opposed to all those people for whom the future is behind them ...He obviously has some qualities. It's the just the normal questions. How would he adapt to England? Is he quick enough? Is he worth the fee of around 40-44m?
If we really want to replace Llorente with a similar player, with the future ahead of him then he could probably be a good buy.
While Son is useful up front I still think we could really use another option as a backup/alternative to Kane. Llorente just doesn't have the speed or the energy to impact a lot of games and, while he's done a job for us this season, I think it's really time to let him go. He has 2 goals in 36 league appearances. Admittedly most of them were off the bench, but that's clearly not good enough.Because if/when Kane gets injured I'd rather just use Son up top than Maxi Gomez. Poch likes adaptable players and I agree with him.
I'd much rather sign another player who can play all along the forward line for this kind of money - or a bit more - so that they can be used more regularly than just when Kane is injured. I don't think Maxi Gomez is good enough to warrant ever starting alongside Kane over Son, Lucas or Dele.
I'd rather give Llorente another year as Kane backup/plan B and with a view to bring Parrott through in 2020-2021, but it does seem more likely that we go down this route.
I haven’t. Aggressive, and good aerially, are his main attributes. His distribution is not there, and his technique in beating players is not the best. I personally think there is better out there. But that is my own personal opinion. The guy is absolute quality. no way he would come here as a bit part player, he'll be starting for a top 20 European team soon.
Also I'm not sure what use there is signing a player who is brilliant in the air when we hate crossing the ball. It's like when we signed Soldado - a master of short range, one touch finishes - when under AVB we had the slowest build up and created the least chances in the box of any top side. You obviously seen things

He certainly is not a ‘good passer’ unless five yard pass. Not from what I have seen. He is certainly strong and aggressive, with aerial threat, a good engine. But technically limited is my observation over a good couple of seasons. But as I said, we are all entitled to our own opinion. He reminds me of a better version of VJ.great touch, good passer, good finisher, good in the air, strong, aggressive, hard worker. all the raw materials needed.
With VJ I was against it, and warned that he would flatter to impress. Difference with Gomez, he would score few more goals, but I think we would be disappointed over the long run. But then again, I raved about Aurier ?I thought exactly the same re: better VJ but I see that as a good not bad thing. Kane initially looked like that kind of player too. In the games I saw he sprayed some cross field balls and showed great vision.
I know players have looked great for longer periods than I've seen this lad play and go on to be flops but if what I have seen is a true reflection then he is the real deal.
