Mate, he's literally pasted the whole article in his post.

And no, I was saying that every transfer is different and that sometimes, if things seem to drag on, it's not always our fault.
Also that if people want to leap onto Levy and the club when things don't go our way, they should also have the decency to give them credit when things do go our way.

Well you did say that, but you also said that what I was saying misunderstands how the transfer market operates.

Lets just clarify: do you think that my criticism could be valid, just I'm being too harsh and it's not applicable in this case, or do you think that it's just a misunderstanding of how transfers operate and could never be a valid criticism?

Ok I just clicked the link and it went to the atlantic website, didn't know he copy/pasted it but i'll read it when i get a chance.

He seems such a kind and lovely guy, go smash it Timo!
can see why he would be bullied also, not exactly an alpha nor a natural extrovert
luckily for us, we now have a squad of not just good footballers, but decent human beings, who will make him feel safe and welcome

as an aside, from the book "The Culture Code" by Daniel Coyle, research found that the #1 predictor of success in top performing organisations is that the people feel safe.

for the above reasons, I'm very optimistic about Timo's time here with us.

Do you ever get a feeling that a player was meant to play for us? For some reason that's how I feel about Timo. Not sure how to describe it but before he joined Chelsea, I felt he was a spurs player. Hope he hits the ground running this weekend
i think that was Madders for most
But def can see how Timo fits in here

And if any of the defenders dare to banter or bully him, you know that Cuti, Richie, GLC, Lolo, Porro and Royal are going to cut them down

With all the drama of the potential hijack on Dragusin, clever little signing this is.

Loan to reduce the risk, but we have signed an energetic pacey player, who we know has an excellent assist record. If Ange can get his confidence back and we see him scoring like in his first Leipzig stint, then happy days.

What’s exciting is that in Werner we have added a real goals+assists threat that was lacking a bit, other than Son. I’ve been having a look at career stats for our main forwards and attacking mids, looking at domestic league performance adjusted for mins played.

Werner and Son stand out and below a reminder that Richi’s output is good since he has come back from injury. I appreciate stats only tell part of the story. Looking at major leagues, around 120 mins per goal or assist seems to be the benchmark for the top players (adjusted for pens). The best of the best get close to 100 and then there are freaks like Messi and Ronaldo down at 70-80!!!

Player - goals+assists per min this season - career average
Son - 101 - 120
Werner - na - 118
Richi - 108 - 206
Brennan - 185 - na
Deki - 254 - 183
Maddo - 112 - 161
Lo Celso - 129 - 268

Hopefully he can rediscover his best form which was even better than this! I haven’t adjusted for penalties in above table but that isn’t a major factor for any of these players.

Remember Chelsea paid £48m for him as a 23yo. He is now 27, the age most players start to peak. I honestly think we have bagged ourselves a fantastic signing, and one that will add to the debate on which signing was he biggest bargain for Spurs.. (It's Vic) .

I was sceptical but there was just enough logic to the signing for it to make sense and convince me to get on board. Can’t deny now though after hearing from him and seeing him in the kit that it “feels right”.

No doubt our style of play suits him, he has plenty of energy. Now to see whether he can sort out his final ball/finishing

With GLC out I think he'll start on the left Sunday. It's not his best position but we need Kulusevski as a 10 for that one. Will be fun to see possibly him and Dragusin start.

Forgetting stats and purely from an eye test POV I'd say his work rate is extremely good. He presses and runs tirelessly but the one point that's often missed is that his movement is exceptional, world class in fact and that alone should create space and chances for others even if he isn't scoring. Another point about him not always mentioned due to his high profile misses, is that his assist record is pretty good even when he's not scoring. When you look at his goal involvement numbers they are actually pretty good for a forward despite his goal tally being lacking at times.

I remember him getting caught offside and then finishing those chances A LOT when he was over here, to the point where was almost comical.

He has this innocent, puppy-like quality that makes him hard to dislike.

I said this about him while he was at Chelsea:
Soppy cunt

If he can recapture his pre-Chelsea Leipzig form then we'll have a likeable and very good player on our hands.
