Sorry for my ignorance, and sorry AC as there's no Nusa thread yet, but i haven't seen Nusa play but his out put is pretty horrendous. I get he's a kid, but you'd think playing in a very weak league he would at least bang some goals in...

He has had a few injury issues this season. In the league he has 4 goal contributions in 694 mins which is a goal or assist every 173.5 minutes.

That isn’t terrible at 18 years old playing in a team that hasn’t been doing too well, especially as his season has been a bit disrupted with injuries.

If nobody else does it before i get a chance I'll do a write up once we have a Nusa thread as I don't want to bloat this thread. But briefly its worth looking beyond his G/A numbers, statistically he is really top tier for his age group in Europe and as I mentioned Brugge are a bit erratic this season. Plus he's had a back injury thats been problematic for him. He is only 18 and nowhere near the finished product, but his potential is massive.

Like most European clubs they are not really in a position to turn down a good fee. After all they would have sold him last summer if Nusa had said yes. They know he wont be there next season. The key factor is they don't want him leaving now as they qualified for the next round of the Conference League and they also aren't having the best season, currently 5th in the league, 14 points off first, and they really want to get some sort of European place. Weather or not 22 mil will be enough I don't know tho. One also have to keep in mind that these things are never guaranteed, what if Nusa gets injured or his form dips significantly then his price will go down a lot. I mean look at Orban, he just moved for €13 mil and only last summer he was valued at €30 mil.
Fair points and if they accepted the Chelsea bid last summer then I would agree we have a chance. Orban was never 30M though, that was a piss take, Nusa is prob worth what we are offering

Indeed but it's not always that simple because whoever you are bringing in will be looking at what other people in the club are earning before they commit to signing a contract. They'll have to move away from the big name galactico type players for a couple of years imo, because they'll all want Rashford money. It'll be a slow process reducing the wage bill if they still expect to compete for the top players. This why we have a huge advantage right now. A club on the up that can pay parity with players already here. If you are Nusa there is only one club you are choosing out of ourselves and Utd right now imo.
Sounds like there is some feint praise for Levy here somewhere.

Question for those who know him; he seems to be even skinnier than Gil - do you think he’ll do better than him?

Yes for a couple of reasons.

1. He is more explosive than Gil, so he can evade defenders easier and get away from them. He's also a bit more comfortable with physical contact from defenders despite needing to improve physically.

2. I think he's around 5ft 11, so he's a couple of inches taller than Gil and looking at him he has more room to add physicality to his frame than Gil without losing his agility.

So while physicality is definitely a fair question mark and something he would 100% have to develop if he comes to us, I believe working under Ange he'd develop quite quickly especially as he wouldn't have the immediate pressure of starting every week. He's faster than Gil and more explosive, with more room to grow in to his body.

I still would like for all of us to be behind Gil if he wants to prove himself for the next 6 months to try and work himself into Ange's plans, but think it would be perfect timing for a buy and loan back until the Summer type deal. The kid looks amazing.

If we get to a problem in the Summer where we HAVE to sell one of Gil, Solomon, or even not sign Werner, that sounds like an absolute amazing problem to have as a club IMO (and glad I don't have to make that decision lol)

I've praised him specifically about it a couple of days ago, along with why I'm still not fully behind him yet.
Agreed. He’s signed one player on a permanent contract so far, and people are acting like he’s a completely changed man already.

United want Olise with AWB going back to Palace, would be a huge outlay for them. However Olise plays on the right, and Nusa seems to play on the left where Rashford is settled. Also Garnacho prefers to play on the left too.

Nusa probably has more opportunities with us than at United.

That sounds.... erm....... not very likely.
