Sound ominous 🫣 though in all honesty…. I don’t feel as worried as I did with DRAGUSIN, we’re massively short at CB whereas Nusa is a potential star rather than the difference between this years success or failure

Brugge have secretly been organizing an open house for Nusa, and despite Manchester United's efforts, they're lagging in the race I’ve been told but they’re seeking more competition to get the best deal possible. This negotiation tactic is common, intended to maximize the deal. The seller, using agents to engage with all interested parties discreetly. We've established a strong connection with Antonio's representatives and parents during our interest, confident in our progress. Negotiations with Brugge are not just positive but advancing into more intricate stages now . We are very much the club right now for this deal and for nusa.

It would be weird if Club Brugge weren't trying to find the highest bidder, so I'm not overly concerned by that update. If we get him great, if not it's because a bigger bid/better spot for Nusa presented itself.

This doesn’t sound negative really… basically saying the agents trying to get more teams interested to get the best deal for Brugge. Issue is aren’t more of the other teams we know about struggling with FFP?

still seems pretty positive to me and if we are being aggressive then I don’t see anything to worry about… yet!

Also if it’s a straight choice between us and Utd and we have a relationship with the players reps and family it’s likely he’d pick us!

And yes I did state that we had competition previously when I broke the news but we had entered a point with talks recently that only should have one focus on moving him to spurs . That’s has slightly reverted from them trying to maximise this deal. However it’s to be expected

Sounds as expected I suppose in trying to pry away the crown jewels. They have every right to line them up around the block. But it's sounded consistently from you that we've gone as above and beyond as we can with this one, and probably can't do much more than that. If he chooses us and we've put the legwork in, then great. If his head is turned elsewhere...well then he was never for us anyway.

Appreciate the info as always 🙏

This is what passes for bad news now? I'll take it.

Haha 😂 I’m just trying to feed my info as relevant as I get it . I think that’s a good and a bad thing but the more context I think the more you see how something can go from being off to on to off and then go on again . Also helps processing news from aggregators as they put out what suits their agendas .

Can understand why we are trying to be quite aggressive in our negotiations as I’m sure there will be teams interested who might try to shuffle finances around to make a move plausible . Certainly makes one think that the chances of him coming this window rather then being loaned back are slim to none if they are discreetly trying to get more buyers involved.
