Not had to wait for a drop this long since that time I was constipated after flight to New Zealand.
I was just thinking that, not about your flight from NZ as an intriguing thought as it is, but the drop!

We have been spoilt by Kane and that’s the ceiling as it’s fresh . Expectations have been raised so quickly due to the attractive football and right now we are lacking bite in that front line but the midfield for me is a lot more concerning there not quick enough in transitions and unless we have a creative 8-10 we struggle need more from that area .
Yesterday, for me, really highlighted how much we missed Sarr.
Bentancur looked rusty, lacking fitness and Hojbjerg blew hot and cold.
Skipp played really well and hopefully starts the next game because he brings the energy we need.

As a unit, when we finally get them all together, the midfield is pretty sorted and so unless PEH goes, I don't think we need another one in there.

Nusa (or similar) has to be the move to make because snapping up talents of his potential before they break through, HAS to be the model we use.
Big money signings are great when it works (I'm looking at you Tanguy!) And they get the fans excited but as we've seen so many times, like United recently, it's a risky way of doing business.

Thing is that if you look at our team yesterday we were missing 3 of our 4 main midfielders and we were also playing without our main attacking outlet of our front 3 and arguably our best player and were having to play our 2nd best player in our front 3 “out of position”.

Yes City were missing both Haaland and KDB but then they have spent over a £Billion and Pep has been in charge for a very long time. We are still very much a work in progress and when we are missing key components to our team we will still struggle.

Yeah, certainly no complaints from me.
When we consider how far we've come in such a short time, along with the disruption we've had this season, things are looking pretty bright.

It's signings like Sarr and Udogie that have got me excited for the likes of Nusa.
He may be young and have a lot to learn but then, how many of us expected those two to come in this season and become as important (and good) as they have?

Now I'm not saying that he's coming in and making a great impact on the team, that's just setting unrealistic expectations but if we're honest, we've all been worried about finding a successor for Son for the past couple of years.
Like Kane, he's going to be incredibly hard to replace.

Get him signed now and hopefully, that issue is sorted.
I get what @THOWIG is saying about players ready to go now but when we have our full squad available, they're going to have to be pretty bloody amazing to get a game.

Totally agree, today the midfield was a bigger issue than the front three.

It was, but out of the 3 in CM, only 1 of those will probably start when everyone is back/fit. Sarr and Maddison would go in with Bissouma arguably the next option before Hojbjerg and Skipp.

All gone a bit quiet hasn’t it
Might be waiting to see if Brugge can arrange a deal for Sonko after their initial offer was turned down. Also maybe as it’s a loan back there isn’t as much pressure to sort it out with any haste. Ether way there are only 6 days of the window left including today so I would assume we will hear something soonish.

This will be the deadline deal, just to keep the juices flowing and stress levels rising amongst the ranks. Probably all sorted but just want Tottenham to be mentioned in all the drama of deadline day.

Seems to have fallen off a cliff? Guess it's not happening?
There isn’t any real pressure to get this done fast especially if it’s a loan back. Still a few days left of the window. I’d imagine we are just negotiating the fine print. Brugge have also been trying to sign a young LW which to me is a pretty clear marker that they expect Nusa to leave.

Well if the most probable deal we expect happens (i.e. sale and loan back) then I would expect him to keep playing no matter what!
