You just know he’ll be a superstar there and get a move to Chelsea/Utd/City in a few years 🤣

€30m for one of the most exciting wingers in Europe wasn’t a lot at all.

Hopefully we have someone else lined up, but I can’t lie I’m disappointed we haven’t managed to get him.
For Levy who still operates in the 2010 price bracket, this amount on an 18-19 year old would give him night sweats and panick attacks

Just a gut feeling, but I think those assuming we’ve pulled out due to something better falling in our laps, are going to be sorely disappointed.
Exactly this

It appears we’ve just been beaten by Brentford here.

Nothing more than that, it happens

wonder what you thought in 2019 on £55m for Lyon’s best midfielder 4 years ago?

To be fare to him, if I was Nusa, going to Brentford makes quite a lot of sense. As long as we keep trying to buy a player like this each window, the squad will remain fresh

Tbf you just can't expect us to compete with a massive club like (checks notes).....Brentford

Come on, considering the ITK or at least constant posts in this thread there have been more than just tentative enquiries on Nusa - let’s not gaslight now
If the info we get from ITKs is legit, then yeah.

Romano wasn't saying 'here we go', so I'm not assuming this is all over yet. Find it hard to believe that if we're serious we can't secure this.

I think it's probably a far better move for Nusa's development.

€30m on an 18 year old is a huge risk for a club like Brentford......makes me wonder if they've sold Toney?

What’s that logic? 🤣

So you’re saying that because Ndombele turned out to be a flop, that we should never spend money on a young player again?

Why? If he’s good enough he will play, like Pape and Udogie. He also could be our Son replacement for years.

Trying for someone else isn’t exactly how we have been operating this window. We identify our targets and move quickly. Not jump around.
So maybe we didn't really want him, I think we need a solid proven midfielder for our next stage of rebuild. We don't play kids, and perhaps he wants to come and play straight away. Get the major parts first. Imo.

Well that's a shame if that's really the case.
Haha no we didn’t clubs line fed to pok . Brentford have agreed a fee and the player has accepted to go there it’s not done yet it’s upto Tottenham now match it and it’s ours however I don’t think this will be the case now . seems that bidding war they wanted they got. Formally the price in line was 22m and we would wait until July for him to come ange then wanted him now and the price went up instantly which put back the deal slightly which is normal and the player was open to that but preference was waiting . Brugge then turned the screw last week opening up the deal inviting other clubs and Brentford have bitten it. Nusa I would imagine sees himself playing week in week out under frank which then regardless gets him a major move in 2/3 years. Transfers are never ever certain regardless of how advanced they are.

We can’t make decisions based on a single failed high value transfer, the clubs around us have 3-5 of these bad transfers and we have one.

It’s a fantastic move for the player. Gets to play every week and be main player, prob gets a release clause of 55m which will be extremely appealing to clubs after two years of watching him play.

If we had wanted him that much, we would have got him

same deal with Orban. Trust the club and their approach/decisions.

Looks an exciting player, but not a no brainer

I don't have a problem with a player choosing another club over us. If he doesn't want to come to Spurs, I don't want him at Spurs. Simple.

Seems crazy to miss out on such a talent for a small amount in the grand scheme.
