Ah that's a shame for the kid if true. But good for us not biting at the price tag if he has these issues that need addressed. Can't see him moving in January now and Brugge not getting anywhere near £30mil+ for him now.

If Brighton move for him I'll start to worry we've missed out on a real gem. Until then I can't get overexcited about promising youngsters. Most go onto be military medium or above average at best.

I guess he needs surgery to clean up his knee but they likely want to delay it until the summer? Makes a move even in the summer interesting.

Agreed, if he has those issues now, who's to say they won't just get worse! Wouldn't touch with a barge pole!

Well the floating cartilage should be fixed with surgery. I’m pretty sure it’s not that uncommon. If he’s got serious cartilage damage that would be a different matter though.

The back issues are more concerning.

Tbf we would have discovered the same thing during a medical. He was out twice this season with back issues but the knee is new. Feel really sorry for him, hope for his sake it doesn’t derail his career
