Yeah I wouldn't. Supposedly Barca is his dream and considering their approach to youth he knows he will likely get game time from the off. For us he would probably be a bench or maybe even youth team like Phillips. The only issue Barca have is money, I'm honestly not sure how Barca will swing that deal and its been baffling me since the links began. He is incredibly talented tho. If we got him I would wonder what that meant for Devine but I reckon in our system Bergvall could probably adapt to any of the three CM position given time as his awareness and game intelligence is exceptional.

See this for me is a bit odd as i reckon if he goes to Barca i'm not convinced he would go into the B team, I think he'd more then likely stay in the first team considering they have been wanting this sort of player for a while to add to their depth. Very good chance he would even get minutes this season for them. Anyway, not complaining as it would be an exceptional addition I just don't see why he would want to come to us to be put into our academy.

Nah. Feels like his camp/club putting this out there as a negotiating tactic to get Barca to pay up.

No doubt we're genuinely interested but the player wants Barca, so they'll sign him eventually.

Considering the way our DM plays in our system I actually think he could play any of the three midfield position once he's developed further. Not that we would want to put him there primarily but I think he could be very effective dictating a game from deep as he has the vision and ball control to take the ball on a half turn and move play forward. Anyway, pointless as I think there is zero chance we get him as long as Barca want him.

Another lockpick outside of Maddison would be a welcome addition regardless of whether it's derived from the wide forward position or centrally but I tend to agree in that I would be staggered if Barcelona don't wrap up this deal or Bergvall continues to spurn other advances.

This has now been confirmed by Anel Avdic (swedish journalist who broke the Barcelona story before Romano). Anel reinstates that Bergvall prefers Barca.

Well good to hear we talked to him etc at least. Even if we miss out on him players like Bergvall, Nusa etc are the sort of talents we should be looking at closely. Sticking point is the bold part of course. He really wants Barca.

I just don't understand why anyone would want to go to Barca once the mighty Spurs show interest, some of these youngsters need their heads looking at. 😗😗😁
