Ange: “I said signings were unlikely yesterday, and they’re even less likely today.”

I know Ange can be a bit eh.... Economical with the truth but maybe don't get hopes up too much

Meh - who knows what is true here - but, if he is a player we want - we should make every reasonable effort to convince them of our project.
As I said in my post before, I sincerely hope we are being given encouragement from Bergvall/his reps otherwise we are surely just wasting our time and effort on a lost cause.

This really just screams of Barca using our name to make this player seem like a win since they can't sign any "big" name player since they are negative broke lmao

I think you have to assume that - I am pretty sure he was seen in Barça - so, if his mind was made up - his agent would have told us.

If someone is still taking our calls - its fair game, imo.

Honestly he’s a beautifully graceful player who has an incredible football intelligence. Again another played we have been looking at in CM who reads the game incredibly well considering his age. Would be a very very exciting purchase that, whilst still be very raw like most of the other young talents we have been looking at, i would expect to be part of the first team squad very swiftly.

Honestly he's been my favourite young midfielder in world football (that I know of) for about 6 months.

I almost wish we'd never been linked so I didn't have to worry about it.

I'd be beyond ecstatic if we signed him.

He can put the ball wherever he wants and make it look effortless. Two footed.

His footwork takes the piss but he's also mature and only uses it in the right areas when pressed into a corner.

Making him the perfect long term alternative to Bissouma as a 6, and pretty much there as Sarr's understudy already. Madders too if we're short.

Physically he can more than cope with mens football. 6'1 broad, strong, mobile, good engine.

Obviously we won't get him, but a fabulous talent. Plays like he's 25.

Sure, putting it out there that a player is having a tough time deciding between Barca & Spurs does wonders for the Catalan giants' reputation.

It’s hard when you got Fab outside your hotel window putting on a boombox serenade a la Say Anything.*

*officially in a “consulting” capacity only
Fab unofficially has two large men wearing Napoli tracksuits holding tire irons outside of this kids agents home just waiting to have a talk...

Not the second part, but having another team interested, now that I repeat it, it does seem pretty fucking stupid lmao.

Apparently we have offered him a place in the first team squad.

Can’t see Ange consistently playing him so doubt that matters.

Let’s be honest, he probably has more chance getting in Barca’s team than ours currently.
