On top of all of the uncertainty surrounding Barca (managerial, financial, etc), we'll probably be able to make a more attractive offer to his club with more straight-forward payment, rather than some weird array of levers and deferred payments or whatever. There's every chance they're nudging him in our direction.

I don't think its the club we have to worry about - its all about convincing the player this is the right project for him.

"Look, we don't have the money at the moment, but we're about to set up this super profitable project called the Super Lea... hello?"

If he chooses Barca, I hope he enjoys them trying to sell one fifth of his economic rights to a Kuwaiti consortium every 6 months.

FC Barcelona is fighting intensely for the signing of Lucas Bergvall (17 years old). The Swedish midfielder, one of the pearls of European football, visited Barcelona this Tuesday with the intention of learning first-hand about Barça's economic and sporting offer, which is why he met with Deco, the Barça sports director. Furthermore, this Wednesday he visited the facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, which would be his new home if he signed a contract with FC Barcelona.

However, the Swedish player concluded his visit to Barcelona and left to join his team without giving an affirmative response to Barça as to whether or not he accepted his offer, since the culé entity has finalized an agreement with his club, Djurgardens. Swedish.

The reason that Bergvall has not yet signed for Barça is that Tottenham have jumped in to sign him, promising that he will join the first team now. Meanwhile, Barça's proposal was to straddle the line between the reserve team and the first team but starting next season. Within the Barça club they are waiting for a response from Bergvall but at this moment they do not venture to comment on whether they feel like favorites to end up acquiring his services. The ball is in the Swede's court.

H88 re-attach your cojones so you can put them in the line again!
Madness that considering what I put them on the line for with Dragusin, I then lost them guessing Maddison would start against City 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️. Probably feels like they've been on the line a lot more than they actually have, thus far they've been on the line twice with a 100% record on transfers so maybe I should go back in 🤷🏼‍♂️. As I've said recently, I've had very little recently and have zero updates re transfers. I just have a weird feeling this lad may end up with us, and that is literally based on nothing other than my personal opinion.

Any pro should be wary of going to Barca right now, they’re a basket case.
Whilst I agree in general re youth they are still impressive. Despite all the turmoil La Masia is still consistently churning out wonderkids and because of their financial difficulties they are being given a significant amount of game time. I mean they have three of the brightest young talents in world football in Gavi, Pedri and Lamine Yamal. Whoever they bring in to manage will be required to play all the youth regularly. Nuts as it’s sounds I can completely understand why he might choose to go there over us.
