Love this approach of buying young wonderkids and developing them.

Who was the last one we bought before Sarr - any during the Mourinho or Poch reigns?

Great footwork on him. Just the type of player ange wants in the team. I can see him in our team already

Kulusevski was exciting but this feels even more exciting from a Swedish perspective for some reason. Maybe because I never really thought we would sign a player straight from the Swedish league. It is a big step from Allsvenskan to Premier League but I guess not many people thought Dele would go from playing in League One to play incredibly well in Premier League straight away either. Will have to watch more of Djurgården´s games the upcoming months (which I have mixed feelings about since I don´t really like them but oh well).

Think we’ve established he is basically a test tube, lab-born midfielder. Think of all the best attributes of every midfielder of recent times, cobble them all together and that’s Bergvall.
Dembele + Modric + Eriksen + Bale? SIGN ME UP!

I've got a feeling, and it's only a feeling mind, that we're not going to loan him.
I reckon he's had certain assurances and from what little I've seen of the lad, he'll force his way into being a valuable squad member next season.

Got a feeling he's going to do a Sarr under Ange and quickly establish himself.

I'm certaintly on board with that.

This is a fantastic signing by all accounts. Preventing Bayern from hijacking one of our signings is one thing, but hijacking a signing out from under BARCA of all clubs is truly an announcement to the world that something special is happening here.

Still, I'm curious what methodology scouts and other talent evaluators use to project the ceiling of young players such as Bergvall. Yes, he looks great against the Swedish top-flight as a 17-year-old. But he wouldn't look that good if he were playing against PL players. So how do we know that he will continue to improve to the point that he will look this good in the PL ? Is it just his age? Or are there other factors? It looks like he has great vision and a mature work ethic, and strong family support, which are all plusses. But what about physical characteristics? How do scouts assess whether a young player will continue to grow faster and stronger, and is not already close to their natural peak?

Wait is it time to have the argument of if he can play with Sarr or will it be one or the other? 😂😳

Brilliant signing. Fair to say our squad has been rebuilt completely in about three windows. The youth pipeline refreshed and almost two quality players for each position. Yes there could always be more here or there but where we were in the painful rebuild it's pretty fantastic to see it done that quickly. You could argue should have been done sooner but still impressive imo. Excited for the next few seasons.
