If Ange feels the need not to use Emerson in the right back postion, it would make more sense to put Dragusin there as he is a defender, he has experience in that position although not the way Ange plays a right back . I remember Poch experimenting with Sonny as a wing back, that was bit of a disaster.
Listening to the full press conference if it's a choice between Scarlett or Lankshear on the bench then I think Ange made a case for it being Scarlett.

who's more likely to mimic what porro brings to the team? dragusin or bentancur?
it's not like porro is in the side for his defensive qualities.

Not a bad shout but I would agree with the other poster that Sarr is probably the most similar profile player to Porro in the squad.
I don't understand why people shit on imaginative suggestions when it's obvious the backup RB can't play the role in the system

Gutted Porro is out, Emerson in that inverted FB role is a huge step down unfortunately.
Richy out isn’t the end of the world as it means Sonny up top.
Should be a tricky game as they have new manager bounce but I fancy us to get at their 3-4-3, we need to start fast get an early goal and dominate them.

I'd just like to see us control the game more effeciently without the constant anxiety that if we lose the ball we will immediedlty be conceding a good chance to them.
We play a pretty extreme style of play but that shouldn't mean every time we turn over the ball they opposition get a really good chance which is currently what seems to be happening.
Alot of those issues though are coming from our best players not being at their best, Bentancour, Biss, Maddison, Udogie, Kulu, and others need to improve their form.
We need to start bossing full games like this not 10 - 15 minute spells. Hopefully with 2 weeks prep we'll get to see some of that.

Should be the aim from here on from Ange. Same players are about. Opposition steps up, you have to step up too.
Be interesting to see what happens, not expecting an immediate return to that feeling of “wtf happened, we’re fucking good!?!”
Hopeful it becomes clear we’re really heading in the right direction, more than anything else..

Skippy at right back. He wants them to play in midfield so put a midfield player in there. Skippy will give it everything , can tackle and pass the ball.
