i actually do not think it is his tactics at this moment, it is the players standing to much still. Our midfield looks like they are in pre season. At the start of the season Maddison got the 2 extra yards as he was moving way more. Bissouma turned in midfield passing forward, he only sideways pass now. Bentancur alway qquick on the move passing forward, now he is more often with the back against the goal passing back and reacitng to everything.

They look miles off

82% possession, completed 7x’s more passes than palace, yet we have an xg of 0.16 and they have a higher xg of 0.2. Says it all really.

All too pedestrian. Where has the urgency gone that we had for the first half of the season no matter whatever team we put out?

Yep. The couple of times we upped the tempo we look way more threatening. Only to retreat back into ponderous passing again.

At risk of oversimplifying things; I think really they just need to get in the mindset of forcing the ball in the back of the net and actually enjoying doing it.

Too many get the ball and see a wall of players so go back.
