I watched the game and if i was the Ange i'd sack Burnett. Cassanova, Maguire and Ashcroft werte clueless if a team refuses to press high. They seemed to be no plan B ( passing quicker in a positive direction would be a start). I spent most of the time waiting for Spurs defenders to make an error.

Bit over the top. First loss of the season, they'll learn from it and improve.

I'm astonished that Maguire continues to start over Gunter. Maguire has never impressed me. Gunter is a very talented young goalkeeper with huge potential.
Gunter has been injured I think. In some recent games we haven’t had a keeper on the bench at all. With MacGuire suspended for three games Gunter’s return is timely.

We need to trust the talented youngsters and give them more chances
Not much chance this season as every game left is big if we are to get Champ Lge. Plus we are nearly full strength. Europe next year plus decent lge cup run and they will get chances.
There will be a sort out in the summer, quite a few out I would think.

Team has lost one game all season and you want to sack the coach.
It was hardly the first choice centre back pairing.

Think Ange did an interview not long ago where he said all squads from 1st team down to academy play to his style so that players can step up from U17s to U18s to U21s without a problem and that he is constant contact with Burnett.
You could apply your description of the U21s to the first half against Palace today , slow passing etc and the odd mistake trying to pass out from the back.

Indeed. With Dorrington and Sayers injured plus Pastoski and Lyons-Foster leaving since the start of the season it was George Abbott a Defensive Midfielder or Right Back by trade and a back up CM in Dante Cassanova playing at CB. Then going down to 10 changed the tied.

We are still top of the league with two games in hand on West Ham who are second.

Sheffield Wed v Plymouth on Skysports Action tonight. 1945. Devine or Philips might get a start against weaker opposition than the previous few games. Been on the bench for last two.
