Imagine the amazing PR if we'd have reduced season ticket prices as a "thank you" to the fans. That PR would have been cheaper than some of the actual PR campaigns we've launched and the good news story would have got "Tottenham Hotspur Stadium" all over the press again in a positive way. Come on Donna, do your job!

I'd love to know the stats for how many tickets are taken by Koreans. I think it's great they're here but when Sonny leaves they're likely not sticking around. Now is the time to build the next generation of fans.

I dont like it, it sucks, but £4m isnt to be sniffed at is the reality, and to flip it the other way on the Rodon point I'm sure there are other pockets where revenue/value is £Xm amount less than expected.

I suspect Levy is banking on us having grown the fanbase enough to cover the demand from Koreans over the next couple of years, with little value being placed on loyalty of our long standing older fans.

Loyalty of customers isnt rewarded by businesses, unless you count getting a little memento for it as fair reward, so its unsurprising that we arent going to be one to buck that trend. Side note I worked for a breakdown cover company a few years back, long standing traditional brand, and the fees for the customers of 20+ years were about 300-500% more than that of the 0-5 year customers, exploiting the loyalty to the max. Not the same type of company of course but pretty shameless nonetheless.

I assume it doesn’t need explaining on here that football isn’t about “brand loyalty. It’s not like switching from AA to RAC and back each year.

It’s about the level of engagement the fan has, not whether they move to a competitor. It’s also about locking in new lifetime fans.

Yep I get that, but the gradual removal of concessions for 60+ and getting new fans are two very different things, I was referring to the former. The point is its even worse in the instance of a football club because as you say fans dont just up and leave. The opportunity to exploit is even greater than a usual consumer situation.

On the new fans I dont think getting good (or bad) PR on 60+ concessions is having much of an effect on generating new lifetime fans.

The last published matchday receipts for year end 2022 were £106.1 million, no idea if that includes food sales but would have thought a 6% rise in season tickets would bring in more that £4 million.
My concession ST hasn't risen since 2020 and my new price is up £31 so hardly anything to complain about , costs more than that to fill up my Micra.

And just for the record Liverpool STs for senior citizens they get a discount of 25%, the cheapest senior ST at Anfield this season is £524.25 , cheapest at Spurs next season is £471 that's not including block 109 which I think as the cheapest block at Spurs are nigh impossible to get.

It was broken down in one of the reports and food/drink, etc is included and is massive.

I think £4m is probably top-end of the estimate and it might be even lower.

Yes that could be right but for some sources to say that £4 million pounds is a trifling amount is a bit rich, for four million pounds you could employ 100 staff at the stadium and pay them £40,000 a year.

I know people disagree but when you consider that my ST this season is the same price as in 2020 and Bank of England figures show a 20% inflation rise since 2020 then I don't see 6% increase as excessive.

In the last accounts page 2 under other revenue of £31.9 million it states among other things matchday catering so not so sure it's included in the matchday receipts figure of over £100 million.

When they first started the NFL they ran out of beer at the first game and had sold £1m worth of beer . Apparently beer is a decent mark up or so I’m told

On the subject of lifetime fans, during 60s 70s and most of the 80s it was pay at the gate For most games. Just turn up and go in. Relatively easy to get in the habit of going most weeks. Cost was well within re@ch of everybody We are often told that the younger generation these days prefer just highlights of stuff, not keen on sitting watching a full match. To go to games these days is so much hassle. Pay £50 for the privilege of being able to possibly buy a ticket. No guarantee though.
Plenty of reasons not to bother yourself too much about going to every match.
Could be a very different scenario in 20-30 yrs.
Bit like going to see a show in the West End. No particular attachment to anything, just going for a day out.
Shite really.

Ticket exchange open... When will the TV schedule get announced..? As that's when I've been able to get Arsenal tickets previously.

Have bought membership (probably should have got +), trying to get tickets for the Luton game, is there any sort of window when they start appearing on ticket exchange (if at all?). Can see "Premium" tickets but when i click through to the available section, it then tells me there are no seats, its a little confusing.

I think for Luton ticket exchange is already open for some time now. When someone put its ticket on ticket exchange it will just appear there so you need to check page very often. For Arsenal game ticket exchange is also already open and tickets dissapear in seconds.

You need to find this page , ordinary general admission tickets if there are any available on the exchange is the button below Premium Sales..

Available seats do sell quickly so you have to keep checking daily to see if anything has been listed. Game is not televised in UK so demand probably quite high.

When I click on Premium for Luton says none available so they are sold out at the moment, still possible that some might get listed as there is over two weeks to go to the match.
