He's versatile, that's the key, and perhaps Ange likes Werner/Son/Solomon/Kulu as his wing options and wants someone who can fill gaps (well) across the midfield/wings.
You've forgotten Johnson, who is probably the most in-form winger we have currently.

Maybe we arent looking at Baena as a WF. WLB just said he was the number 1 target but he didnt put a position on that. Baena isnt a winger really at all so I dont think we would try and shoe horn him in there either.

Williot Swedberg fits some but not all of the cryptic. “In shadows cast, whispers rise” could allude to discussions that took place following the Bergvall deal. Both players share the same agent - Nordic Sky - and Swedberg plays for Celta Vigo, nicknamed Os Celestes, which translates to the Sky Blues.

Now Swedberg appears to be an AM not a striker (by the same token Baena isn’t a winger, so maybe that particular reference should be taken with a pinch of salt) but it is noteworthy that he has scored 3 goals in 10 La Liga appearances, all off the bench, and two of them were last minute winners. Without his goals Celta would be firmly in the relegation zone. He also secured his move to La Liga off the back of 5 goals in 5 games for Hammarby which reportedly generated interest from Barca and Utd at the time. He seems like a talent that would be in demand.
Was on trial here before, also.

Good spot. Looks like it was 2019, around the same time we had Roony on trial too. Hopefully we can convert a few more of those types of deals with Lange on board. A tie up with a club like Djurgarden would certainly be useful as Scandinavia seems to have a decent talent pool these days.

Doing a bit more research on this guy, one report from last summer says he’s been recommended to the club by Kulusevski. Several scouting reports liken him to Thomas Müller in playing style. Apparently he chose Celta Vigo over Club Brugge, who seem to have a great track record with young signings, so he must have something about him.

Blimey, that’s what I call scattergun scouting. Zubimendi and Thuram are absolutely nothing alike in terms of playstyle.

Thuram isn’t even a 6, he’s very much a ball carrying 8.

Worry about Zubimendi’s athleticism in the PL.

Interesting and slightly concerning, a variety of extremely different players in terms of style and strengths/weaknesses.

God I hope we don’t go for Onana, badly overrated.
We need height so can understand Thuram and Onana. I think 6 is such a difficult position to recruit at the top level. So maybe Zubimendi and Locatelli (is he even a natural 6 though?) is the ideal and if they’re not doable we’ll look to add more physical presence. We need both really.
