Ange tactics are really demanding on players. It's been said multiple times. It worked like a charm at the start of the season because everyone was at 100%. As the season advanced players got more fatigued, and we play worse every week.
This won't change until Ange changes his tactics to something more balanced. Zone marking on set pieces, high line. This is suicide if players are tired
You almost got it right but it's strictly SPURS players who are suddenly tired..not opposition players. They, miraculously can run all match.

Hate excuses like this.

Liverpool lost 3-0 at home midweek…

Arsenal got beat badly a few times under Arteta even in his 2nd season…
Exactly, Klopp with his system in place for years got rekt by a poor Atalanta side at home.

A few weeks ago we smashed our closest rivals at their ground. So was Ange just lucky then or was it good play?

Cant make any calls after 1 season.

It’s not all on Ange, we’ve still got a weak minded squad and no real winners. Conceding the second goal straight after the first was bad enough, but not one player was taking it personally and trying to get everyone to wake up.
Heads dropped going into half time, however Ange should have made a change at that point as it felt obvious if the same players came out for the second half then it was more likely Newcastle would score again than us getting one back.

Liverpool rested half there first team?

And that Villa game was the only decent performance in weeks

Im not entirely sure of what point you’re trying to make.

Most managers have their favourites and whilst I agree PEH deserved to start, I think it’s a bit OTT for that to be a reason to ‘already be done with him’.

For all we know Ange might have said to Lange that he wants a top class new CDM in summer as a priority and is just sticking with biss for now because he knows PEH is likely off in the summer.

I didnt say I am done with him. I said I would be done with him, if he keeps doing the same mistake again knowing it is not working.

Bissouma gets booted at HT previous game for similar play. Whats changed since then to start him again ? Hojbjerg is in match day squad, he is playing better than Bissouma - that means he has to be started ahead. Just becuase yu will sell PEH in summer doesnt mean he cant be started

We're embarking on an experiment to see whether you can play and achieve results like Citeh on a smaller budget. Obviously that will require greater patience but that seems to be the whole project here. Build it a little more slowly and suffer the ups and down that come without the instant financial salves they have had in the meantime.

We'll only know for sure if there's any hope after another couple of seasons and by next season we might have a better idea of the chances.

It might well end up being a total failure of course.

We don’t play at all like City though, even theoretically.

Exactly mate, it’s the nature of modern society, react short term to everything without looking at context and long term.

Alex Ferguson never would’ve lasted at Man.U in todays society…

I’ve seen enough positives that are worth making sure we give ange a good good amount of time and patience to properly implement his system and improve these young players and sign him a good 5-6 players he needs this summer.

That being said there is certainly an argument that he needs to tweak his tactics a bit as they are getting exposed at this level quite often now and hard to say how much of a difference better new players will make.

We beat Newcastle 4-1 at home, they beat us 4-0 at home, it is what it is.

Saying that in a few years we could still lose games like this, better teams than us lose all the time. If you’re upset with Ange after less than a season then it’s time to relax and be patient.

Especially the ones lucky enough to play in Europe and make deep cup runs. We'd have to be the first team to look like shit despite playing 41 games all fucking season.

This idea that any manager given sufficient time will become Sir Alex Ferguson needs to die. First of all I bet he would get Man United competitive again if he returned there (ignoring his age)

Second he’s one in a billion. Most managers peak and then decline in a relatively short space of time in a club

I still don't understand why there is this reluctance to test young players. It is not possible for them to be so dominant at their level and so below the professional level.

All teams test their young people and discover good talents, we don't even give them that right.
