    Player Watch - Tanguy Ndombele

He’s obviously putting pressure for a reason and he knows more than we do..

    Mauricio Pochettino sacked by Tottenham

Right decision. Clearly his head was turned some time ago.

    What do we do now?

My response was to someone saying “why bother going for a free next year”

    What do we do now?

Because he’ll get a signing on fee the size of a euro millions jackpot

Match Threads Spurs vs Liverpool - Match Thread - Champions League Final

What a shit night, even the streaker was shit. Uefa need to make a rule to punish streakers that don’t get their tits out.

Stupid rule, the ref should be able to use his loaf, make a decision and get criticised. What we will see now is players kicking the ball at arms to get penalties. We’re gonna see lots of stupid penalties until this rule is revoked.

Spurs line up £20m raid for Adrien Rabiot

Exactamondo he only has to wait 6 months till he can go on a free so why would his wages be normal. They can only be disguised in the form of a signing on fee

Toby: Spurs performances prove I'm happy to stay

This is my view. A big club that needs a CB such as man united are going to make him a big offer this summer, they won’t wait a another year when they can just throw more cash

    Alderweireld contract explained

It will be a shame that middle ground can’t be found. He’s gonna listen to his advice and that is gonna be telling him he can get serious money elsewhere. I personally think budgeting an extra £30/40m retaining him and Eriksen would repay itself. They’re 2 players we obviously can’t replace...

    Alderweireld contract explained

I can see someone paying £40m, maybe the £200k p/w is a bit high but I doubt it will be far off? The problem is someone will pay it

    Alderweireld contract explained

How much is he worth this summer? Surely at least £40m? Next summer? Deffo more than £15m? Either way assume he can pocket AT LEAST a £15m signing on fee, probably more likely to be £25m and therein lies the reason he didn’t sign, whatever happens now we need to offer more Ps or forget it...

    Vertonghen comments on contract situation

He’s 32 at the end of this deal without the extension. If he has a big injury towards the back end of the season would his contract be extended a year? I think it’s more likely he would be offered a 2 year deal on around half the wages?

    Vertonghen comments on contract situation

One word... age! If he has a major injury we can say au revoir...

Tottenham need Alderweireld to prove his commitment

He can sit for 1 year at which time he’s turned 30, take a 4 year deal at £200k a week and earn £40m or take a 3 year deal and a massive signing on fee. This geezer is never going to sign for less than £200k per week on a 5 year deal. But if he breaks a leg he’s fu****d!

Capoue - Sprained ankle (4 weeks)

Could have been worse, could have also been soldado or an unsold bale! We would probably have won today though!!

    Reading Vs Tottenham: Match Thread

A great performance away from home... we definately have the right players for this system in Bale and Lennon and it seems to work for Defoe who is immense at the moment. Have to say though that aside from the two new midfielders the stand out for me is Verts - what a footballer we have there...

    Wide forwards.

This is so true... we have the opposite problem with Kyle Walker wasting possession by being selfish. Moyes is a manager that would have taken us further than Redknapp IMHO but I guess he's lined up for the united job?
