Why are there no games being played on the weekend of the 12th November?

There are no Euro 2012 matches being played? And nor do there appear to be a round of international friendlies?

There are world cup qualifying matches in Asia and the Americas, but is this really a good enough reason for stopping europeant club football?

Play-offs for some nations, but it seems that most are just taking the weekend off.

I would still deem a weekend with no football more interesting than a weekend with international friendlys.

I disagree. Id like to watch Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka, Gareth Barry, Jordan Henderson and Andy Carrol take on a depleted and less than motivated Sri Lanka XI.
