Almunia makes a half decent save. And then sort of trips over himself. He really is a fucking idiot.

Sons of a bitches,

Liverpool have stolen our physio.

Noticed that too! Maybe we let him go? There were reports that the players were pretty upset with our physio staff and all the groin injuries last season.

Perfect result for us, though the OG wasn't so good for my fantasy team which has both reina and glen johnson!

If that had been Gomes who dropped the clanger that Reina just did, he would be hounded all over the press.

Undoubtedly we won't hear the end of Wenger moaning about everyone trying to murderalise all his players, but Wilshere's tackle about 10 minutes before Cole's was just as bad...

The color commentator saying they should tell Agger he's Pele and put him back in when he was on the sideline boggled by concussion was classic!

Absolutely. All that "shaky / all over the place Gomes" crap would come out in droves, and they would be licking their lips hoping for another clanger from him in the next few matches, heaping more pressure on him like hyenas.

On the result, I agree with those who think it is good for us. Both lost important players for future matches (albeit Arse for 1 game only), and both lost points.

If Arsenal don't get a better keeper, and seeing that their defence can indeed look shaky under pressure, they may indeed struggle to make the top 3, even with Fabregas and Van Persie to come back.
So both L'pool and Arsenal can be viewed as our main rivals for the 3rd-4th place this season, along with Man City of course.

Based on Joe Hart's performance yesterday I don't see Shay Given getting back into the City side anytime soon, so Arsenal may go sniffing to see about his availability. I would hate to see them get a good keeper like Given, as it is one of their weak links.

I rate Given but he had a bad injury last season, a dislocated shoulder for a goal keeper is disastrous, every time he dives there is a possibility of dislocation.
