He had he's reason, I just feel it's not healthy coming out publicly like he had, just leaves so much questions about his state of mind.

Maybe his mother made it impossible for the dad to be involved.... It might be a good thing for Dele Alli to go to Nigeria and connect with part of he's heritage.

My mother did something similar, actually. She changed to her mother's maiden name. However, she gave me her father's last name and of father's surmame. Personal name, mother's surname, father's surname is the standard.

But the thing is, we don't know the relation, with regards to Dele. I for one will therefore not pass judgement.
