I voted Sissoko. He's the most deserving. Consistently puts a shift in, never shirks or goes missing. That, coupled with where he's come from with us, last season being so awful - He's the GOAT. I hope he wins it.

Sissoko for me. While it may be a great story, I feel he epitomise's everything about this Spurs season. What Spurs have lacked in quality, at times this season, they have made up for in heart.

Sonny will win it though.

Sissoko has gone from being absolutely horrible to being quite acceptable, and he does deserve credit for the vast improvement. But to me player of the season isn't about who has improved the most, but who has been literally the best. For that reason, I think beyond doubt that the player of the season for me is Son, and there is no other contender. Talking about improvement, Son has in addition to playing very well and winning points, he has also improved upon last season. Furthermore some of his goals have singlehandedly provided us with wins that have contributed to our top 3 position. Son is THE embodiment of a Tottenham player this season.
The thing for me is that Son has missed two pretty big chunks of the season, and has had a couple of patch periods too. When he's been good, he's been our best player. But for me the player of the season award is about consistency. And so for me it's really between three players, Sissoko, Vertonghen and Alderweireld. Sissoko for me just edges it.

I follow and sympathise with your rationale all the way up until mentioning Alderweireld. I do not think he has been consistent at all, in fact I think he has been inconsistent, and his worst has been rather awful. For me consistency in general, although important, only goes so far. You can be consistent and bland or mundane at the same time. Consistency doesn't equal excellence. It's true Son has missed out on part of the season. But his strengths edge it for me. He has taken responsibility when nobody else could, he is enthusiastic, he too has improved season on season and in fact gone from being inconsistent to rather consistent, and he has decided multiple matches singlehandedly. Sissoko has come a long way, but simply going from being outrageous to being rather reliable isn't enough in this context.

I had to go for Sissoko which is probably slightly unfair on Sonny but the step up, responsibility and drive he has shown in games this season has been fantastic. Sonny is probably suffering in my eyes in that he has been a 20 goals a season man most years he has been with us and it is kind of expected. Both would be worthy winners but I went for Moussa.

I voted for Sissoko as his transformation has been astonishing and i think he deserves the recognition from us fans. My 7 year old has voted for Son the only other real contender for me...though Jan and Danny barely put a foot wrong ever IMHO

Sonny just edging it over Sissoko for me, taking into account he played in the World Cup last summer, Asian games and also the Asian cup yet is still in the conversation for player of the season just shows how immense he has been, nevermind the important goals he has popped up with to save us a few times this season!

Key joyful games this season have been Chelsea home, Dortmund and Man City in the QF legs- Son was central to all those, he stepped up when Harry is out and has a love for life- and he gets my vote.

Honourable mentions for Sissoko and Ericsson.

Son has scored some important goals, but I think Jan has been just as good this season as last. Proper footballer imo.

I went for Sissoko, ridiculously consistent this season and a superb turnaround.
