So 12 teams in the world have won more trophies? So I’m guessing it must be 30 odd trophies just in the fergie years. Were they huge before that? I mean from the 50’s to the 80’s. I guess a 40 trophy haul before fergie explains it. I’d be interested to know who the seven teams were. I’m thinking Barca and Madrid at the top but some Dutch teams in there as well. Not knocking them, just genuinely interested how they became the biggest club on the planet and whether it was the advent of the premier league that took them there.
have a look on wiki at their history, yes they’d won a few trophies up till ‘66 and had this whole busby babes thing still kicking around but they then went 25 years without winning the 1st division, they did win the 2nd though in the 70’s….🤣
The alignment of Sky and Fergie coming along was just all about luck, let’s not forget he was on the verge of being sacked and then pulled a pot out of his arse, the rest as they say is history.
We were looking at Fergie to replace Burkinshaw as well prior to him going there, not that it would have worked out with Scholar in charge and we certainly wouldn’t have won half of what he won at Man U either!

Rangers 115 trophies.
Celtic 106
Real Madrid and Barcelona 91
Benfica 82
Olympiacos 76
Porto 76
Bayern München 72.
It was actually 8 teams in Europe with more trophies. My bad.
Of Dutch teams you have Ajax with 70. One less than Man Utd.

I'm not a big Man Utd history guy but I guess you've heard about the Busby babes from the 50s 60s. They became the first English club to win the European cup (CL).

They've won domestic trophy (division 1 / PL or and FA cup) in every decade except the 20s and 30s.

despite my joke, after my research it is the top 2 countries that get the 5th spot and currently we are top above Spain, Europa leage and conference league count too. So it's still super unlikely for us to lose that 5th spot.

looking at this, it seems impossible for both Italy and Spain to finish above us. Even if all the clubs get knocked out. The highest you can get seems to around 24/25. We're at 10.625 already with almost a 13 point lead over the closest competitor.

So unless both Italy and Spain have incredibly unheard of campaigns and every single English team goes out right now, it ain't gonna happen.

It's not calculated over the last five seasons: only the 2023/24 season counts for which leagues get the two extra spots in 2024/25

I wouldn't be at all surprised if English sides did a clean sweep of the European competitions this year (City, Pool, Villa) and I'd expect us to get to at least one team to all three semi final stages as a minimum probably more.

Anyone else find Laura Woods super arrogant and annoying? She’s like a female Jake Humphries, TNT have replaced one twat presenter with another 🤣 she’s also flirting with everyone she presents with, it’s not very professional imo.

Mate. Shes “flirting” again. 😂.

Cos it’s pathetic not liking someone due to who they support. One eyed, myopic. Then again i remember what puberty was like, so I’ll factor that into the equation for you. 😂
I don't know her, never will know her, and I think her banter is a bit shit, aside from that she supports Arsenal and what I responded to was that she was super arrogant and annoying, which are traits synonymous with Arsenal players and fans.

Lovely looking woman though.
