They are going to try and flog him to Saudi league if they can. They need the money. He’s also on £198k p/w. I really don’t see it being a viable transfer for us.
You would think someone inside Barca would say "Hold up, do we REALLY need to sign Raphinha? Is he worth getting into the red for?"

Nope, they go ahead, sign them and then realise they have to sell them down the line.

The coefficient is going to be tight for sure. The [cough]Champions of Europe have Leverkusen tonight so unlikely to get much change out of them, although their potato head fans will probably break all records for the amount of Kolsch beer drunk in Cologne today (can’t blame them for that though - lovely stuff!)

But we have Liverpool & Villa. Hopefully they can win both legs and that builds up some points.
Agree it will be tight overall though.

Are same points awarded across all competitions?

Yes in terms of 2 points for a win and one for a draw. The CL gets more bonus points but the QF onward are pretty similar. Next season they make performing well in the CL more important than other competitions.

Atletico channelling their inner Blackburn tonight with that kit. Expect to see two of their players fight it out on the pitch Le Saux/Batty style.

Yamal is ridiculously special. What an assist for Raphinha, he just burned past Nuno Mendes as if he wasn't there.

Barca looks to be coming out of the post Messi dip ready to challenge for the CL for years to come. They have some incredible young players

Yamal is special, hopefully Barca have learnt from their mistakes with Fati, Gavi and Pedri.

Why is Athletico playing in Brighton's kit lol. It's not like their normal kit clashes with Dortmund's

If they can keep hold of them given their financial troubles, which is by no means a given.

I think hes the player city miss the most. Such a lovely player and scores such clutch goals

I sometimes wonder if Pep is doing a favor for his old club and player Xavi by supplying them some players in Gundogan and Cancelo. Both players who could still be useful for City but I guess surplus for different reasons.

They're saying in commentary that an unnamed prem club made a 60 million offer for Raphinha. Wonder who that could be
