Looking at this Bayern team with Kane at CF it’s hard not to think that they are nowhere near as good as the prime Poch team with Kane at CF. Player for player id say we were better in every position.
Neur in his prime may edge Lloris. Kimmich is a better footballer but Walker with his pace adds more at RB both in defense and especially in attack. Muisala and Dele are very similar in their precociousness. They have no one like Eriksen.
Overall this is not a very good Bayern team. Kane is wasted there.

Why on earth would you pick a basis of comparison, especially one that suits your narrative!

In my simple mind he is in the CL semi final and fucked Arsenal over in the process.

How are we better? We play in diff leagues. Too many variables!!!

Edit - just saw it is DS. Makes sense .Chelsea fan !

Tell you what though, what's the cracking about saka though, I know he scores rhe odd goal, but I just don't see what you get.

I've been critical of our brennan Johnson this year, but I'd rather Johnson over saka, I just don't see what's special

There are only 2 possible offsetting factors to this:

- pressure of being favourites now
- Mbappe on his own can turn a one off game

Otherwise agree, 100% Madrid's.

p.s. it will be a cracking final though PSG v Madrid
I wdnt count out Dortmund to get to the final, PSG rarely live up to expectations

I think Carrick’s impact on Man U is massively under appreciated. He was a missing piece to their jigsaw.
I think people forget just how good he was
he rarely got goals and assists and many go by those numbers. Carrick was the one linking it all together and was so key for us as well as United.

Agree, i quite often hear that he's 'world class' from gooners and a lot of pundits however every time I watch him he's good in moments, cut in score nice a goal, deliver a decent cross but not a lot more than that.

He never seems to pick it up deep, beat a couple of players, spread the play or anything.

He's a good player but reminds me of Rashford to be honest...

Mbappe was pretty anonymous against Barca - yes he scored two goals but one was a pen and the other a tap in.

He's an excellent player - I just think he's knackered. In a genuine way, not in a "limp for sympathy" way. He's played far too much football because they have no alternative for him.

Yep take out the limp meme and he's probably burning out (just in time for the summer..). He must be up there with starts and minutes for them surely?

But this PSG is a bit different. They actually look like a team, not a footballing reality show where there's zero chemistry and everyone's out for themselves. I didn't expect them to turn it around before the red card, but the PSG banter era appears to be over.
