OK here we go!

Ryan Moore had runners in all 35 races of Royal Ascot. He had 6 winners, three of these on Day 1. Awarding points on our scoring system, Ryan scored 116 points, an average of 3.3 points per race.

In contrast, Frankie Dettori had only 23 rides across the 5 days with 4 winners. Frankie scored 66 points, at an average of 2.9 points per race.

Wonder if it was Frankie's choice not take more rides?

I love statistics, me!
He beat me by 2pts. And what makes it even more depressing is that by day 2 half my tactic was to just back ballymore

Well done dbspurs.

And thanks again Houdini for putting together, and Bradford for the stats.

That’s a tactic I’ve used for years. Even more chances with the two O’Brien sons joining their father. Had a spell of backing the second string when they have more than one runner in a race. Would of paid off today with the 22\1 winner.

Well done dbspurs on winning.

Thanks to Houdini and Bradfordspur for running the competition.

I started badly and got worse.

Finished between Plupper and Houdini, so, feel like a family member.

I wonder if either was in profit ( wins only £1 to win per race)

Thanks to all for the comp.
Looking forward to Goodwood, interesting little stat over last 5 seasons that Aidan won't be such a big influence at Goodwood as at Ascot.
Can't narrow it down to comparison between the meetings of Royal Ascot & Glorious Goodwood but doubt Aidan has that many runners at Goodwood outside of the Glorious meeting.

Ascot
win rate 27%
Place 30%

Goodwood
win rate 7%
Place 34%
Goodwood always very tough

I am usually abroad when it's on but not this year and going on the Friday as my mates local pub has a booze bus going, 8am start at the pub on the Friday morning, breakfast, tickets, booze and dinner all for £80, gonna be very messy.

My mistake , looking down wrong column ,win rate at Ascot is 10% so a bit better than at Goodwood so still worth following Aidan at Goodwood and Ryan Moore for all trainers.

Ok, well done everyone it's been an almost impossible task to win any respectable amount of money this year and the same goes for points in the comp.
@dbspurs done well to win it taking into consideration the results. So congrats mate 👏 👍
@bradfordspur was just ten points behind and @montylynch a mere two points further back!
Well done to both of them 👏.
kev found his whip...albeit far too late but hey.... Plupper finished ahead of me again but only because he's a mummys boy cheater.
Hope you all had a hoot in the hot sun and at least won your bus fare to work on Monday..... I didn't, but then I am rich and retired...😄
Thanks again to my accountant and helper @bradfordspur who in fact some of you should be thanking come to think of it!
So until the next time....the Goodwood Festival in August.....toodle pip, xx
Thanks HOuds, and well done DB on a fine win. Hard cheese everyone else, better luck next time.

Am I the first person to get zero points from 7 selections in a day. That must be just as difficult as getting 3 winners lol.

It's happened before....👍
Day 5 at last year's Ascot meeting. In one of the lowest scoring days, 5 players scored 0 from the 7 race card. Two other players avoided 'nil points' due to the Non-Runner default score. Here is the score card from the meet.

One of mine is running tonight at Newbury 5:30. RolyPolyMoly. He’s been off the track for a while. Really to let him grow into his large frame. He’s a hurdler running on the flat over a shorter distance, but is well handicapped. I’ve had a decent bet on Bet365 for the extra places.
As always, just putting it out there, no guarantees!

I had one running on Sunday evening, I've shares in a couple, Star Player raced in the 6.15 Pontefract and he was only 90% fit.
He came second at 16/1.
